Time for the high drama of the Top 20 selection. Tune in 8pm eastern.

Oh, and next week: SYTYCD Monday and Tuesday. World Series baseball starts next Wednesday on Fox.

Not what I expected; three!, count them, three tap dancers made the final cut. Just when you think you got this show figured out!?!?

As expected, there was the usual toying with the dancers selected, suggesting they were cut before finally announcing they made the Top 20. I wish they wouldn't, it's borderline cruelty.

Glad they got the Top 20 selection show over so we can get to the real fun next week: Dancing!

It sounds like the Monday hour long show will be a mix of solo dance and a group number followed by the announcements of partnerships. No eliminations that night. Then Tuesday has the partners dance and the first couple is eliminated. There's no result show following, as Fox shows the World Series starting Wednesday, so either the judges announce the eliminated couple at the end of Tuesday's show or wait for the start of the next week. When they get to the top 16 performance (Nov 10) audience phone votes will be added to the mix.
