Well Sabor, mind is pretty self-explanatory...it tells a lot about myself without revealing too much! 8)

Right. It tells nada! Mine explains a little about what I want out of and think dance is. :)

I change mine every so often, depending on what's going on in my life at the moment. That reminds me. Time to change mine.

I don't have one, but if I did it would probably be
"You are what you eat!"

Hey, what happened to the cheese pasta you said you were good at making, on another post? Is that junk? How can a dancer, who should TOTALLY respect his body, be putting JUNK in it to begin with? If I eat junk, I FEEL LIKE JUNK, therefore, the quote! :D

I really like Sagitta's quote -- "When you take dancing lessons, you learn steps and you learn steps and you learn steps. It can go on for a long time. And then one day, you just learn to dance, and it is so different."

I'm not sure why, but it really stood out to me ever since I started reading stuff on this forum.

Cool avatar, natasha. Have you by any chance seen Shrek 2? If you have, you'll know why I mention it. :D

Mine just sums up how I feel about dancing.

And very true it is. When people stop thinking of steps and just dance they are freeing the spirit that was caged by the analytical analyzing intellectual mind. Just dancing, is where it is all about. I'm a control freak, but in life I get the best experiences when I just let the spirit go. Running without conciously thinking, eating, mile after mile..and now dancing...being one with the music and your partner, three in one. This may be blasphemous, but for you Catholics out there (don't know about other Christians! ) I think of the trinity. (By the way I am what you probably consider a devout practicing Roman Catholic, so I think I can take some liberties.)

Pygmailion, what about you? Your quotes in the signature tag line?

"why call it Dance when you can call it Salsa!?"

I'm not a Christian, but I can totally relate to what you say.
And your tag line's one of my favourites.

(Still, I think you should give Shrek a try.)

Al Pacino is VERY sexy! Jack Nicholson has a problem with 16-year old girls...But he is a fantastic actor!

Hey. I'll never meet Jack Nicholson, so from afar, I can still find him sexy ... even if he does need to stick with someone his own age.

I've decided to resurrect this thread after reading "The thing (person, event, or other) that changed my life ... (http://www.dance-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=6526)" thread. Pygmalion mentioned some books in it, but when I think back this past year, I realise that some of the quotes used in DF members' signature taglines have made a lot of impact on me. For example...

Pygmalion's:
___________
Life expands or shrinks in proportion to one's courage

Swing Kitten's:
___________
It takes a lot of time to become the type of person you wish to be....
start practicing now

Another one from Swing Kitten:
___________
When the Sun doesn't Shine on me anymore
God put a Rainbow in the Cloud

I like this one from Sagitta because that's what I experienced myself:
___________
When you take dancing lessons, you learn steps and you learn steps and you learn steps. It can go on for a long time. And then one day, you just learn to dance, and it is so different.

(Sagitta came up with some great observations himself -- especially the dance trinity. I might use it as my tagline some time... )

And Peach quoting Boriken:
___________
Be your own person, seek your own place on the dance floor and always remember to take your partner with you.

Bob's quote rocks!

"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."

-Mahatma Ghandi

Words to live by. :D
