Cooking? I thought that was an irrelevant skill for those contests. Bath suit management. Now THAT's a skill.

Congrats to Jennifer Hawkins, Miss Austrailia!
And I believe Miss USA, Shandi Finnessey came in 2nd! And she deserved it!
Some of my other favorites:
Germany's Shermine Sharirar, her native costume was terrific!
Hungary's Blanka Bakos, another great native costume!
Greece's Valia Kakouti, a mighty nice looking dance instructor!
Korea's Yoon-Young Choi, wow!
Cyprus' Nayia Iacoridon, a wonderful red head with gorgeous green eyes!
Israel's Gal Gadot, ouch and she likes dancing!
Lebanon's Marie-Jose Honein, oooh!
Norway's Katherine, Soerland, outstanding!
And what a super South American representation!
Chile's Gabriela Barros, Paraguay's Yanina Gonzalez, Peru's Liesel Holler, Bolivia's Gabriela Oriedo Serrate, and Venezuela's Ana Karina Anez Delgado.
Other ladies from India, Egypt, Netherlands, Jamaica, Georgia, Austria, Belgium, France, Bulgaria, Mexico, Poland, Puerto Rico, Serbia and Montenegro, Switerland, Solvenia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Vietnam were very nice, too.

Pacion: How do you mean?
I wonder what her cooking skills are like

i suspect the USA rep played volleyball as i noted that she still served a floater using the heel of her hand while playing in the pool. what a women's volleyball team they'd make. the shortest of the final 15 was 5'7" (india), with most of them being about 5'11". dang.

Did any women watch this show?
<snort>
turns out it was on in place of a show i regularly videotape. this allowed me to fast forward to the bathing suit portion of the competition.

Pacion: I was still wondering why you felt I have Scorpio somewhere in the horoscope? Still curious.
(And it's ok to pm me if you don't want to post it here.)

 DancePoet  it was just me putting my virtual foot in my virtual mouth?
By listing all those women from the Miss Universe, seemed to me that:
a) you loved women (a stereotypical view of Scorpions)
b) an eye for detail (another stereotypical view of Scorpions)
c) a very good memory (yet another stereotypical view of Scorpions)
d) you are flirtious (  and yet another stereotypical view of Scorpions)
e) you seem to have certain similarities to another well known Scorpion aka Sabor (stereotyping AGAIN! )
f) you love women (have I said that one already  )
So, there you have it. :?
Now, am I right or am I right? (You can PM if you like :D )
Please may I take my foot out of my mouth now or should the other one join it?

Ok...
I went over to the "Getting To Know Your Astrology Chart" thread. Flipped into the website suggested by Salsachinita. Yep ... according to this website my Moon is in Scorpio; whatever the heck that means?
And Pacion:
1. I like women, yet only romantic with one at a time.
2. Yes, eye for detail is accurate.
3. My memory isn't as good as it may seem. ;)
4. Yes, confidently flirtious, with a positive approach.
5. Hmmm ... similarities to Sabor, interesting.
6. Well, ok, I admit, I love women, yet still only romantic with one at time. :)

Am I confused? You did feel I had Scorpio some where in my horoscope, correct? So ... according to that website ... it may not have been my sun sign, but it was my moon sign. Seems like you were accurate!
(Course, I'm not sure astrology is that big of a deal anyway. ;) )
And Sabor:
Thanks very much for the compliment! :) And who is that blond you are dancing with in your picture being used as an avatar today? (Hopefully dancin_feet won't be angry that I asked that question. ;) )
See, Pacion, he's not a bad guy. Seems like there is some honor and humility in his personality.
Oh ... and by the way, look who's flirting with who!

Oh ... well you could have said you were an astrology queen and I wouldn't have known the difference. :)
Ok ... we won't tell anyone you are not, and we will pretend that you are!
Remember, this is our secret.
( DancePoet is obviously forgetting there are many, many people who read these threads. But it must be getting late and he is still putting off sleep to type more on DF. Then again, maybe it had something to do with an alien abduction? {if you have that puzzled look on your face after that last question, perhaps reading the "Just when you thought it was safe ..." thread will clear things up a bit for you. Ah! The mighty webs we weave!} )
