Staining my skin! Eep! They are black leather, black suede insoles. When I take them off they have discolored my skin. It's pretty funny, and scrubbing gets it off, but -- any tips?
Comfort: I know they will break in, but my first night out they rubbed the back of my ankle a bit and it's a little raw ... Any tips other than band-aids?
Thanks!
Melissa

Best product I have ever used is "Band Aid Blister Block".
I have very narrow heels and this works wonders!

Hmm. I've never found a work-around for the staining. I just kind of put up with it until it stops on its own. Anybody?

Your avatar is adorable!
I will try to use this product once my sore spots heal. I think I'll have to use band aids until then! Oh well! =)

Thanks for the compliment on my avatar!
I can't imagine trying to dance with raw heels....
You can use this product now if you apply a dressing (like a Band-Aid) first and then put the Blister Block on top.
Sorry I don't have a tip regarding the staining...the only thing that came to mind is to make sure you're not wearing any lotion where the shoes touch your skin. The oil in lotions can make the staining worse.

Never had a problem with shoes staining my feet! Blisters however ....
I have been using paper tape on my toes until my shoes are worn in and soft enough to not cause blisters. Not sure if it will work on heels though.

To prevent this from happening in the future before putting on your shoes apply lip balm on your feet, this reduces friction therefore your shoes will not be rubbing your skin off.

Lip balm? Does that really work? I've used bandaids before, on spots that I know to be sensitive. Just not lip balm. Hmm. Gotta try it. 8) :D
