hello im new in this forum and this forum look really interesting and maybe could help me out with my dancing skill. I really like to dance well like a couple dance but im not really good at it. The last time i went dancing with this girl she was doing all this good move with turning and all so i got nervous and i dont know what to do, :headwall: And i had another dance with this girl so she was like really good and it wasnt a couple dance its more like a face to face dance but not touching each other (sorry english is not my first language) so i though i copy dance her, copy whatever move shes doing right infront of me... is it a good thing or am i really the worse ( i know) dancer there is in the world. Should i be all loose when im dancing and is there any good tip to make me a good dancer.
Hmm... I think one of more helpful suggestions that I've heard would be to not feel self conscious about your dancing. When you feel inhibited in your dancing, it usually shows.

wow great advise and i kinda dont really get this part
cuddle: similar begin to the previous one, take her hands and create some distance, then take your left hand (and her right hand) move it to the right in front of you and inbetween the two of you, then move your hand up and your arm over the girl's head (at this time the girl should be doing a half turn to the left), then your arm goes down and the girl should be in front of you, back towards you and your arms around her waist still holding her hands (don't have a death grip! in order for this to work you'll have to let your hands slide through each other; don't hold hands firmly, just try and keep them together). Hold position for a short while then reverse to turn out of the position again: left arm goes up, arm comes back to you while the girl is doing a half turn in the opposite direction to be facing you again.
You can vary this move by doing it the other way (left becomes right), or by putting yourself in the cuddle: instead of turning the girl you yourself make a half turn and put the arms over your own head.
can anyone post a pic of this move?

welcome, megaproto. i don't think i can post a pic of that move but tj is right... you shouldn't feel self-concious about dancing. everyone can dance... you just have to let yourself and then you'll feel good and you'd have a lot of fun :P

Wow? I'm not sure about wow. But check out the club dancing index at the top of the general dance discussion forum. There are a few threads on grinding there. My fave is "I have no idea how to dance." 8)

Click on the link below and check out all the threads. That is the topics that are higlighted like the one below. There's a lot of stuff there, but if you take the time and patience to absorb and work your way through all the highlighted links I'm convinced that you will be a much better dancer. Good luck. :)
