A classical stage tango performance, almost without any NeoTango stuff and attitude:

Almost classical indeed !
It would be nearer classical if they would cut out those head switches and poses that don't go with the music...
I'm sure I've seen better dancing from this couple and will search for a video example.

Shouldn't be so critical! These are 2 persons who are very music conscious, and obviously heard/felt something in the music that precipitated a movement/interpretation. (I say this not being a great fan of theirs, even) Firstly, I thought that it was one of their better performances. Secondly, I didn't notice any twitches and poses that didn't fit the float of what they are doing.

good on you. Personally I thought it was OTT - I mean, do they really have to do *four* end poses? lol

In my experience, the guy in the video would disagree! :)
> obviously heard/felt something in the music that precipitated a movement/interpretation
Well of course everyone can see it differently and that's fine, but for me things like the odd sudden looks to her feet e.g. at 1m19s are not from the music. The are meaningless affectations.
I said I'd look for a better video example of this couple, but having just viewed about a dozen I think this job is better left to another. I'm reminded of his comment "It used to be about the music; now it's more about the dance."

These quebradas fell right into my eyes, too. Think the aim was to look bit old style. So they left out all the modern stuff.

I liked this more than most of their videos I've seen.
