There's motivation for floorcraft! No wonder teacher tells me to keep head up. :)

I hope nobody is hurt.

It doesn't say that anyone was hurt - they were doing a sound check at the time. Another article goes on to say "Forthcoming events could now be in jeopardy while structural engineers investigate the problem" - bit early to guess how long it will be shut for but I guess they could move the competitions to the Tower Ballroom if they needed to.

I can just see the advertisements for a "naturally lit ballroom!" :p

Sounds more like its the decorative plaster than the actual roof so you may have to wait a while before you're dancing under the stars - hmmm or is that Dancing with the Stars!

ooof let's hope that doesn't impede some of my blackpool plans since financing an international trip on a college student's budget is very difficult and i have already purchased some things... thank goodness I haven't bought my London-Blackpool train ticket yet!!!

One day later and now they're reporting that they hope to have it open again by the weekend - not nearly as dramatic as yesterdays reports. Sounds like they shut it for precautionary reasons (understandable) whilst the structural engineers take a look at the damage.
