For anyone who might be in Milan, Italy between June 17-August 18, it appears there will be a two month long event of various concerts/event nights and mambo/salsa
From the Economist City Guide:
In its 14th year, the festival highlights Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela in six venues devoted to regional food, music, dance and crafts. The nightly dance and concert programme features performances from regional stars of mambo, salsa and Afro-Latin beats. There are also plenty of photo and art exhibitions and tourism touts. This year, organisers say they’ve solved Milan’s mosquito problem, with an impressively named instrument called the “Mosquito Magnet”.
Forum di Assago, Via G. di Vittorio 6. Tel: (39) 199 128800. Open: 6pm-2am/2.30am nightly, concerts begin at about 9.30pm. Admission: €10, except €5 on Mondays and €15 on Saturdays. See the festival website
The website (http://www.latinoamericando.it/) does not appear to have this year's programme as yet but if it is anything like the lineup from last year  I wonder if my boss will allow me to 'work from home, via Milan'
