Shoe repair?

I have a pair of character shoes that I use if I know I am going to be dancing for a long time (my Latin shoes kill me after a couple hours). I think my big toe is going to start wearing through the top soon. Is there a way to fix them? Epoxy or something? I just got the heels fixed and the shoes are in good shape otherwise; I don't want to replace them yet.

I'm not sure what it is called... but I know there is a shoe glue that people have used.. I'll have to google it.
