The lady in blue costume (second from the left). Looks like Nancy Ortiz, but not sure.

If she is who I think she is, I owe her a huge THANKS for the big favor she did for me about 3-4 years ago. I have been trying to locate her since then, but I forgot to ask her name...but this lady in this photo looks like her. She must be performing or teaching for Eddie Torres. And she is from NY. Thanks.

I think there is an email address on Eddie Torres website so you can try emailing and asking them to pass on your message/contact details.

Digressing, both of them are beautiful dancers and personalities. :D

Thanks a lot for the info, Pacion!! Don't worry, I am not going to stalk her or anything like that :twisted:. I can tell you the whole story if you are interested.

However, I am not sure yet that the person I met is Nancy. All I remember is that she told me that she was from NY, she was dancing (or teaching... couldn't hear her well, because it was noisy in the club) for Eddie T, and her face looked pretty much like Nancy in this particular picture. It could be a totally different person. Actually, when I had a chance to meet Eddie T about 2 years ago, I told him the whole story about what she did for me and asked him if he had any idea who she was, but all I could tell him was a very rough physical description of her, so of course it didn't help at all. :P But he seemed impressed with and proud of what his student did for me.

I was so happy with what she did for me that I even forgot to ask her name at that time ---- I was even more stupid to forget to thank her...
Since then I have always been thinking about this person, and I have always wished I could tell her how much I appreciate her kindness, and what a big difference she made in my salsa life.

I will try to contact Nancy and ask if that was her, though. Thanks again for your help! :wink:

It was in the thread started by two young men, a teenager to be exact, in a defining moment of their young lives, and supported by his friend, saying that they needed to learn to dance within a week as they were taking young ladies/dates to the school dance and they had no idea how to dance.

A few of us were asking them to come back to DF and let us know how they got on that weekend. SD summed it up for all of us when he etched out on his keyboard, pg 6, approximately 10th post of I have no idea how to dance :( (http://www.dance-forums.com/viewtopic.php?p=30892&highlight=enquiring+minds#30892) :lol: that crucial phrase which was, in the swift winds of Dance Forum's time, :lol: to evolve into E/enquiring minds meaning curious but well meaning DF minds :lol:

Anyone's recollection differs? Agrees? :lol:

Just for clarification, SD did use those monumental two words a few times previously, but I guess, the Moon was transcending Jupiter and Mars was out dancing with Venuse on Friday February 27, 2004 11:37pm and the phrase found it's way into DF's history books :lol:
