rockers were good but it only really got interesting when they did thier solos. There duo part was a bit sloppy and not in synch sometimes. As for Jared, he was tight all the way through not to mention mad technical.

So far, both winners were 4 person groups. I wonder if the judges are favoring larger groups. The West Coast Rockers were definitely less technically precise than other competitors. I was really surprised that Nathalie & Yuvol were third in their road. They did some very difficult aerials. Remember, lifts and aerials were very popular in the original Dance Fever.

Unfortunately I missed most of round one -- only got to see Tommy Boy. Based what I saw in the recap and the final, however, Jared deserved to be there. As far as Live in Color, I consider it a toss up...it was the routine with the most overall impact, so ultimately most entertaining routine which is, I suspect, what won it for them both in the tie-break and in the final.
I also don't think that the judges are favoring larger groups per se, but, rather, that the visual impact of groups is intrinsically greater...
As for Nathalie & Yuvol, they were dead on with balance and connections, and their aerials rocked! At the same time though, I also wonder if the judges thinking regarding the dancing itself found it almost a little, for lack of a better word, boring? I don’t mean that it wasn’t well done, but that there was no fancy footwork and that their side-by-side elements weren’t technically things that others couldn’t replicate. So…props on connections and aerials…but tricks alone aren’t dancing… Well, at least that train of reasoning, if I am guessing correctly, seems sound. I’ve got to say it again though…those aerials rocked!

I know that Nat and Yuval had there music chnaged on them, from what they danced to to what was aired. The big tricks were synced up and the tempo was right, but the music was entirely worng in spirit and flavor. As a matter of fact parts of th emusic that was aired didn't even swing!
Carla (of Kevin and Carla, who should be on next weeks episode) told me that they had been told they might have difficulty getting the rights to air their two songs.
Given the way they dance, this could have a tremendously BAD impact on their televised performance. Their footwork and body movement, as werll as which moves are done win (so far beyond just the flashy tricks) is intimately tied to th emusic. I wonder what was the cut-off amount they were willing to spend per act to approve music. It is a shame that the dancer's art is not getting th erespect it deserves from the producers.

Hi d nice,
Yes, that certainly could have made a difference! As William Pino said to me in Italy last month, dancing from the heart is great, but it starts with the ears! The music matters! NOTE: He didn’t mean, of course, that you don’t dance from the heart but, rather, that, on the floor, you have to listen first and then dance!
One thing I am curious about though, is if it is only some of the partner dancers who have had this problem regarding music switches...if so, then maybe certain musicians are partially at fault, since other types of dancers music seems to be being priced more affordably?

The changes that happened to the music were done after the fact. NAt and Yuval danced to Americano during their actual performance, that just isn't what we, the TV audience heard.
So while Nat and Yuval may have complaints about their placement in the competition, they at least were able to dance to the music they chose. However changing the music cheats them of the huge TV audience being able to watch them and appreciate their dancing for what it truly is.

In case anyone’s interested and/or wants to catch up before tomorrow night, apparently there's a rebroadcast of last weeks episode tonight at 6pm/5pm Central.
