Does anyone know any good places for swing dancing in Las Vegas? I'm probably going to be spending a few days there in July, and I would like to find a swing venue or two if possible. :D
Thanks!

Thanks!post on yehoodi (www.yehoodi.com/phpBB2/index.php), maybe under one of the regions? I can't figure it out but I'm jet lagged (just got back from AllBal) and going to bed. OR google lindy hop las vegas and see if you can find their local website. I can't remember it right now (see jet lag comment above). Good luck!

Movin' on...........learning from it all. Let's make a point to re-une at one of these events. What's goin' on w/Vegas?

Well, I haven't heard anything definitive about Vegas. It looks like there's dancing at the Bellagio on Saturday night (although I'll call ahead to make sure there's really dancing, not just lounge music), and swing dancing at some place called Dance Charisma on Sunday night. I'm not sure where this is located, though. If it's off the strip it might be difficult to get to. So it looks like I'll just bring my shoes and play things by ear, and hopefully get to dance at some point.
It's too bad we missed each other in Oakland. My next out-of-town trip will be Camp Hollywood, followed by Sacramento (hopefully) in September, providing that's when they have their swing dance festival again. There are some pretty good events coming up in Phoenix as well (Yeah!) I'm sure I'll see you at some point, maybe even at OSDF next year. :D

Thanks so much for the Vegas info! Now I really have something to look forward to!
There's a lot happening in Phoenix. :D
Let's see, we have dancing three times a week (Wednesdays at La Posada, Fridays at MacAlpine's, Saturdays at Kat's Korner) and possibly another venue added for Mondays.
There's a Nick and Shannon workshop coming up this weekend, the Sizzlin' Lindy Slam in September, and the Phoenix Lindy Exchange sometime in November. So things are looking pretty good! :bouncy:
As far as Camp Hollywood...I'm going to be out of town tomorrow through Sunday. Right now I have a room booked for July 29-31 (Thursday - Saturday nights). I can't stay for the Sunday dance because of my work schedule. :( Let me know on Sunday if you still need a roommate.

Cool - Thanks! Now I actually have two options for Sunday night! I might just need to stay in Vegas a few days longer...

The monthly dance here is this Saturday, but there's something going on up there I'm sure.

Well, I was actually in Tucson this past weekend; I tried to make it to the dance, but wasn't able to. :( Hopefully next month!

That'll be on the 24th; the day after my birthday. There will be live music this time. Last Saturday's was DJ'd.

When I was in Vegas, I was too busy wining and dining at some of the best restaurants in the WORLD to worry about dancing...We did, however, boogie at the Monte Carlo- there's a cool brew-pub with live music and we went there twice to sample their beers and dance!
