I'm interested in buying some of the latin jam cd's and possibly a few others that are advertised for $20-$30 on Dancevision and ballroomdancers.com and was wondering if anyone knows a less expensive place to get them.

If you get a bunch of friends together you can get a fairly good discount on a large order from Casa Musica in Germany (they carry other labels in addition to their own). We also usually add some technique books and even shoe brushes to the order.

Thanks; I'll check them out. It didn't occur to me to try overseas.

Casa Musica are the best ones anyway, except for some WRH titles like the "Ultimate" collection CDs. Be careful though with Casa, because many of their titles have strange copy protection that won't play at all in computers and in some cases won't even play in regular CD players. I'm really annoyed by a policy that puts the distributor's needs ahead of the paying consumer, but what can you do when there is so little choice?

Does anyone know a good place to order CDs and those books in the US? Our team is not allowed to buy anything from abroad :-(.

Oh that's really, really bad. I can understand some things with regards to copyright infringement, but this is awful.
I really do like the Ultimate collection CD's now. I'm tempted to buying another 2-CD set of both ballroom and Latin for my next rotation of CD purchases.
I usually buy from DanceVision. A bit pricey I guess, but I haven't had problems with them so much.

Dancevision sometimes has sales where you buy so many CD's and get a CD or video free. I generally wait for that.

Those things are easily-defeatable by someone with a little techincal know-how.

Yes, the copy protection thing is really immature on the label's part. To the best of my knowledge, none of the Casa standard CD's have this - I've only heard complaints about this for some of the latin disks.
Having looked only at the Casa catalog for the past year or so, I only realized a few days ago that I was completely missing out on the WRH '"ultimate" series, and may well end up getting some of those soon, perhaps through dancevision.
