Lots of recommendations on df for cha cha in the ballroom thread, but what about street / club cha cha. I don't here it often enough at teh latin nights that I go to, and want to build up my cha cha collection. What are your favorite cha cha songs? Artist album inforamtion with song title would be helpful.

I don't know many cha cha songs, but here are my favourites.
Y Yo Va Pa' Shenzhen
- from album "Breakthrough" by Orquesta La Palabra. This album also includes an English rap version of the same song, "I'm Going To Shenzhen", but my fave is the Spanish version.
Oye Como Va
- originally by Tito Puente I think, but there are numerous covers (I've heard at least 5 different versions of this song and don't actually know who did the one I like...).

Celia Cruz made a few slow, slow cha chas that I love. I'll have to look for titles.

Ohhh, what about some of the salsa-fied versions of I Like it Like That...it's a ballroom favourite, but I danced a salsa-fied version on the weekend and it was fabulous!!! :)

my fav is a song "Homaje a Tito"!
Also another good one is "Tito on Timbales"
Not quite a cha cha is "sabroso son" by la palabra. It has a very nice cha cha intro.
Oh one more, Azuiquita Mami by Pacheco.

8) "La Cuna" by Sheila E.
My local band Rumberos do a fantastic extended rendition of it, with a full orchestra.
I'm yet to find a salsero to dance this number with AND do justice to the song!
