Well I did it!
I took my Bronze medal exams this morning. I was very nervous to begin with, the thought of dancing all alone (just me and my teacher)on that big dancefloor scared me!
Thanks to some comforting words from my teacher, my sister and a friend, I allowed myself to be led over to the judging panel -3 of them, where I was introduced then led into the middle of the exceptionally large floor (Ive danced on it a thousand times and it has never been that big, I swear it!)
I took 2 steps in my Cha Cha, and promptly forgot anyone was watching, It was great, Cha Cha, Rumba and Jive went very well, I made a small mistake in jive, I went to turn a little early but my teacher felt it and firmed his hold a little and I realised immediatley and was able to save myself, I dont think anyone else noticed.
I walked off feeling great!
I Took Street Latin next, everything went smoothly, although I felt Ishould have given it a bit more...
New Vogue was my downfall I think. Parma Waltz went ok, Merrilyn was probably my worst dance of the day, it just felt "off", I missed a sweeping arm during a back lock, but it was during my 1st sequence and I remembered it in the next 2, not sure how that will score..
My Evening 3 Step went very well, for which I was grateful, my arms were perfectly timed.
I have to wait until tomorrow to find out how I did. Ill be sure to let you all know :D
