When my attempt to go to a tango venue went wrong ie. they were closed, inspite of my research on the internet to verify what days they were open :( we went to see Jersey Girl - Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez (for a brief moment), Liv Taylor as well as appearances by Matt Damon and Will Smith (as himself).

I think I read that the US critics gave it a 'dressing down'?

As a whole, I enjoyed it and there were some very comical moments. Except, the times when Ben Affleck was trying to cry (his wife, Jennifer Lopez had died at childbirth), I felt like laughing  At other times, he came across more like Hugh Grant than Hugh Grant

Needless to say, the girl who played the role of their daughter was excellent! Very expressive eyes and she used them quite a lot too.

Apart from not being very impressed with Ben Affleck at times, it is a nice comedy.

Part of it was filmed in Manhattan and I recognised it

I saw it. I don't remember much, except that JLo was fairly unimpressive. I never go to that type of movie expecting anything more then entertainment. A great movie, it ain't. But it helped me wile away a useless Saturday afternoon. LOL.

No. It is not a great movie. Ben Affleck does not do it for me :? - when he was getting all lovey dovey with Liv Taylor, I didn't, not even for a micro second, wish it was me instead of her

But, it was a treat to see the girl who played the daughter and I shall be looking out for her in future films. She reminded me of the boy who was in Sixth Sense. I lurved him  :D

Anyway, there was not much to choose from :(
