Has anyone had any experience with Magic custom made dance shoes?

They make made to order ballroom / swing / salsa shoes. What's cool is that you choose the style, the type of material and colors and they have a HUGE range of sizes, e.g., men's 3NNNN - 12.5WWWW!

Hi dancekitty. Welcome to the forums. Nice to have you here. :D

The web site is ringing a bell. I believe someone here mentioned them recently. Can't remember who, though. :?

I haven't had any "Magic" shoes but my instructor also has a custom ballroom shoe business that sounds exactly the same. You pick the style, fabric, straps, heel, everything. Then you get a custom fit and the cost is the same as store-bought. I love my shoes!

This is especially great if you have one foot that is a different size than another or want to custom match a costume.

Sounds cool. I like the idea of shoes of different sizes to match the feet. :)

I would like to see the feet that would fit these extreme sizes ...... i guess our ethiopian jokes could add the 3NNNN size. Sorry guys and girls, just couldn't resist sharing my thought on this.......and i bet i wasn't the only one thinking about this. I am definitely going to check out this site as this is just what i need. Big thanks to dancekitty !

Hmm, the problem I see with this is that it looks easy to customize all the unimportant cosmetic details, and for the ladies some moderately important things like heel and strap style. But there's not a word about the really important stuff like toe box shape or shank stiffness anywhere on the website that I can see. They don't even have a top view of the shoes! Granted some big names like Supadance don't either - but they at least describe the toe box with words and are established brands with widely known details. At a minimum I'd expect someone marketing _custom_ shoes to ask for a tracing of your feet and tell you if they are using US sizing or the UK sizing traditional with dance shoes...

Yes, Chris true. I recently ordered some ballroom shoes that wasn't a well known brand and when i received them they were WAY too small - maybe 3 sizes to small, even though the shoes claimed to be the right size. I had to wait about 6 weeks before my money was refunded, after numerous requests for it to be refunded...... not something i have ever had trouble with a well known brand. I'll have to check out their refund policy.
