I am listening to Es solo musica by Mamborama. As I said on the other thread here which lead me to the band's website:

      Es Solo Musica - I am having kittens here!   I love this song

I am not a musician but it has a wicked piano section that is wow, I am feeling as if someone is raking their nails along the inside of my skin

oh, and sometimes, I also feel as if I have 'ants in my pants' so, how do you know when you are flying high

WEPA!!!! I know I love a song when my eyes get small, my mouth slightly opens, my head lowers a tad, and I intensly stare into my partner, I hear nothing, if you can believe that, as long as the son is playing, I see nothing but my partner kind of like looking through a telescoope and only seeing her. I slow down my steps, get closer to my partner, I get way way way way smoother... I actually had a girl tell me she felt like she was taking a stroll through the clouds...

My body becomes "weightless" and do just about any move I don't usually do, except I have no idea how I just did it... it's like being in another world. That heppens whether I've heard the song before or never before. After that I feel like I'm at high for a while, and it takes a bad song to bring me down. Which is usually the next song.

I almost had an accident last night, I was driving and I made the mistake to put Sabroson from Los Flamboyan on, boy oh boy, what a mistake. I didn't even know where the heck I was, or going after the song ended.

I know I love a song when I want to hear it again, and again, and again.
I am going through that with the first song off the new Spanish Harlem Orchestra cd-110th street
The song is called Un Gran Dia en El Barrio.
Hopefully I will get to the rest of the cd soon.

I can definitely relate!!! I just got stopped for speeding. 38mph in a 25mph zone. Thank Goodness it was just a warning. Listening to Fuego A La Jicotea - Marvin Santiago.

Hmm... how do I know that I like Belgian chocolate and dislike sea urchin sushi? How do I know that I adore kittens and hate spiders? How do I know that I like No Me Acostumbro and dislike Cha Cha Slide? :?:

It's almost an instanteous reaction. Worst case scenario, I will know by the time the first chorus has come and gone. I usually know within the first 4 bars of music, though, if a song is going to really inspire me!

Kind of like the instant chemistry you feel with some people. There, or not. Instantly.

Ka-BOOM!

My feet and body want to move, or they don’t.
Unfortunately not as intense as Boriken describes,
But I’m working on it.

Well...sometimes it is an instantaneous reaction, but sometimes a song grows on you.

(agrees on the squirrel pic)

With salsa and many other dances I do, the music just somehow is orchestrated to the "next level." It helps me to get into that dance zone where I don't think about my footwork or my hardcore technique and just dance.
