Hi! Hope I'm not bothering you by posting such a question.

I've done Egyptian Bellydance for around a year, and I self-teach Burlesque dance (from various DVD's, asking friends who take classes to come over etc - I'm not yet old enough to attend a 'proper' class for that form of dance).

I'm looking to start learning another dance. I'm 15 almost 16 (so not something like ballet, which strikes me as something you need to be very young to start), not overly flexible, I'm looking for something that's fast paced, will improve posture/looks graceful, and I can take high-impact exercise (I long-distance run and I'm a boxer!).

Well, if you don't want to pursue it as a profession (in which case, yes, you're too old) ballet would be ideal if you want to stick with solo dance forms. This is a partner-dance forum, so you're mostly going to hear partner-dance suggestions, and mine would be Latin.

Welcome to Dance Forums! Perhaps by taking some introductory lessons at your local ballroom dance studio, you can survey several dances and see what you like. I believe that might be the way to go, as from what you described you might not be looking into things like hip-hop, jazz dance, salsa, and other styles. Still, those can be a lot of fun, too... Good luck in your search!
