Hi guys
I am a 22 year old with Dyspraxia that affects my gross motor co-ordinations. I really want to overcome this because it is my ambition to be an acid house/go-go dancer (like the dancers you see on the podiums in Ibiza).
I am trying to learn how to move properly and then learn go-go dancing, as I think I need a proper teacher who can teach me the basics of dance before I go into the house bit. However I'm a bit unsure as to what style to start learning in. People say that Ballet is the best way to go but I'm not sure if that's true for if you want to be a go-go dancer. Would I be better off starting with a more exotic form of dance, for example belly dancing? Taking into account the dyspraxia. I don't really have a problem with the rhythm it's more getting my body to move the way I want it to and processing the movements in time in my brain.
Thanks
