The other day, my teacher told me I looked in the mirror more than he did, which was intended to be sarcarstic. I do look in the mirror, to correct hands and feet etc, not to admire myself, per se.
A friend of mine gets told the opposite, that she dosn't use the mirror at all, let alone enough.
What do you use mirrors for or do you use them at all? And is it only during a lesson that you use it, or also when you're dancing socially?

also when you're dancing socially?
You know, the availability of more (or any at all!) mirror at social venues would have been great!

Never use a mirror when dancing socially to look at myself. Sometime during class he'll point out something and get me to look at myself in the mirror to highlight what he is talking about.
I have a small mirror set up at home on the floor so that I can practice my footwork, but can only see from the knees down.

I dont use the mirrors much, although its kinda hard to miss them as my studio has 3 walls with full length mirrors !
I use them in classes when the teacher tells us to to check our technique and such, but usually not unless that happens!
Socially,I occasionally watch myself if Im dancing NV to correct my position in shadow/semi shadow hold if its feeling a little off (mostly with tangoette..dont know why that is!)
