My first pair of dance boots I bought two weeks before a C&W dance formation performance at a ballroom studio. Fortunately for me, there was a "western" supply store right up the road from my dance studio, so I bought some boots there. They got really comfortable after a while, just like well-worn shoes.

When I became aware of the C&W dance scene, I got wise to Evenin' Star boots, which are designed just for dance.

So what's the deal? Is there really a difference between cowboy boots and dancing boots? If so, what is it? What is your preference? Why?

I'll just say that my Tony Llamas are great for all kinds of social dancing.

Being a competive CW dancer, I can honestly say I absolutely love my Evenin Stars :) There truly is a difference between them and a regular cowboy boot. They are much, much, much lighter in weight. They have chrome suede bottoms just like regular dance shoes.

Being someone who dances 3-4 hours per day...I wish it was more, my feet last much longer in my Evenin Stars.
