View Full Version : I'm moving, yeah!!!!!!!!!!!
After 5 years of living in the middle of nowhere I am moving. What does this have to do with salsa?
Where I am at there is no salsa unless I organize it myself. There are dancers but no one helps set things up.
Where I am moving there is salsa 7 days a week. Finally, I can meet other addicts!!!!!!
Sorry, I just needed to vent, I am trying to set up a nice mix of music for a party tomorrow and some people who were going to help never showed. Oh well, if they don't like the selection I am doing my best.
Honestly the thing I am looking forward to most in my move is the new salsa scene :P .

Best of luck with the move, Vin. I hope it's everything you hope for ... and more. :D
Thanks, I am really looking forward to it. You can come visit me in DC and we will get the salsa going.
By the way, any good dancingcoming your way tonight?

Salsa 7 days a week? I'm jealous! Good luck with the move, and hope your party will go well too.

Best of luck with getting connected to the salsa scene ASAP, which I have no doubt you will. There's a web site, DCdancenet, that has information about all sorts of dance in the DC area. Maybe it has some contacts or venues you can use. 8)

Yup. I just checked. dcdancenet.com is a BUSY web page (meaning, I don't care for the design LOL) but there's info there on virtually any dance style you want, with listings for the DC/MD/VA area. Check it out. I hope you find something helpful. Events, venues, and classes are all posted.
Thanks everybody. I will definitely bookmark that web page. When I get settled in anybody who is visiting the area(or wants to) is welcome to get in touch.

Vin,
welcome to the DC dance area, indeed a very active dance community. I am no salsa addict, but i am aware of them in the area. You'll have a great time.

:) Wow! Great Vin! I'm happy for you! And a little jealous...
Hey congrats! It's great when you get to share your favorite activities with even more people!
I've got a former partner who lives in the DC area (she hardly ever goes dancing anymore). And she's been bugging me to come visit and go dancing with her. I'll let you know when I'm planning on coming down.
Thanks for the well-wishes everybody.
You will definitely have to get in touch tj.

LMAO!
 Even though I've been in Jersey only about 6 weeks now, it looks like I'm going to be moving to D.C. - specifically Reston, VA.
We'll definitely need to compare notes and meet up, Vin.
Awesome TJ, I am moving to old town alexandria on august 14th. I have about 2 weeks to get settled in before starring work. That should be plenty of time to see what the salsa scene is like.
