Hi everybody!

I am organizing a big party and want to try (for me) a new thing: Beaming the music video of the current dance song on the closest wall on the dancefloor, in sync.

For instance, Usher's "Yeah" with cool light effects, dancing and singing right beside the dancefloor! (The LCD beamer will be on the opposite side of the screen=no shadows)

I am now looking for tips on cool, flashy videos with lots of dancing and/or light effects. Dancehall, R&B, Salsa, Pop...all tips are welcome!

I will only play some videos together with the music, as not to destroy the whole concept.

Thanks, Will :D

the Justin Timberlake video! I can't recall the name of the song right now ... but it's off his Justified album. Rock Your Body? Or something like that? there's lotsa dancing and lots of light effects.

Hmm. I know nothing about this, either. How are you planning to do the transmission of the video signal? Big Screen TV and music DVD are the only things I can visualize at the moment. :? I've seen it done, but only at places like nightclubs that I assumed bought the rights to project the music videos on a huge screen. Hmm.

Erly Star:

The Justin Timberlake video "Rock your Body" was EXACTLY what I needed! Really cool light effects and cool beats! Thank you!

I have a laptop and a lcd beamer, so the transmission is taken care of.

Please, any more tips would be really cool!

Thanks guys,

Will

Missy Elliott seems to have a lot of videos with cool concepts and innovative dancing. I don't recall any with flashy lights, but they're usually very interesting from a visual standpoint and the music itself is quite danceable.

Janet Jackson is usually pretty flashy with the dancing in her videos, too, so you should think about putting one or two of hers on your playlist.
