Why do I get the feeling that your list will eventually contain all the active female posters on DF??
Thank you kindly, anyway -- much honoured. I've always fancied a holiday in Egypt .

Hmm, I'd like to dance with all of the ladies at DF...since I'm not very good and most likely I'd only get one dance before they ran screaming...if I dance with them all then I'd be assured to get more dances. ;)
Sabor - I think another fun thread would be about which DF members have danced with each other before? There might be an old one in existance already... 8)

Sabor: Here are the 1st three choices that came to my mind.
1. Dancin_feet (Gee, like this is a surprise. ;) )
2. Mellody43 (Seems like a very special lady.)
3. Larinda (Way above my skill level, yet it would be truelly an honor.)
Honorable mentions:
4. TemptressToo (I need to learn more ECS, yet perhaps a Tango?)
5. Squirrel (I need to learn more Salsa, yet perhaps a Waltz?)
6. Laura (She's so passionate about Foxtrot, it would be fabulous.)
7. LauraB (I'm still learning V. Waltz, yet maybe we can give it a whirl?)
8. Pygmalion (I continue improving my Cha-Cha, and look forward to having lot's of fun!)
9. Pacion (Maybe a Rumba?)
10. Oh my! How could I ever fill this 10th spot? Way too many wonderful women to choose from. Maybe if the World Dance Tour really happens I could get the opportunity to dance with each at least once.
(Oh gosh ... I left out Cocodrilo, MacMoto, Peachexploration, Salsachinita, and the list goes on I'm sure ... )

Oh -- does that mean you are not interested in leading? :(
I was going to ask you for some bachata, merengue and tango as well as salsa, but only if you lead... I can't lead to save my life!
For some reason I know I would really love a dance with ...
Peach,
Pacion,
Macmoto,
Salsachinita,
Pygmalion
Squirrel
To the rest of the ladies I am sorry, I am sure I would love a dance with you to but I can already tell these above ladies would steal my heart, at least for a few minutes.
Among the guys I can tell I would really enjoy watching
Borikensalsero,
Sabor,
Youngsta,
Brujo(is he still around)
Sagitta
To the rest of the guys I apologize as well,
I did see etchuck dance already so he doesn't count in the above, but I would like to see him dance again. Also I plan on seeing tj dance soon and so no need to put him on the wish list.

I'll promise you something even better. If they ever do merengue we can do something else, like cha cha, depending on the song. So you don't ever have to sit down. As for salsa I'll do one better than ballroom salsa/mambo. Come to my place and I'll go even one better and play some great music rather than the old tired favs of the clubs. If you want spins, your wish is my command. There aren't many who enjoy spins so it is always a delight, ma cherie - to meet one who does.

But if the ladies know I'm willing to lead, many may never even do me the pleasure of leading me. They all will want to follow.

Es verdad? Estas borracho amigo? Where do you go dancing exactly Sagitta? All of the places I go the Salseras get bored real fast if you aren't spinning them all over the place. Well, with some exceptions...but mostly I add single, double and triple spins to just about everything I do...if I go for only one I get the mal de ojo..."just one spin you silly boy? SPIN ME LIKE A MAD WOMAN AHORA!!!"  :D

The advanced salseras probably but I ration my sampling of that category. In all honesty my preference is to dance with beginners as they don't get bored with me. As long as they are willing to follow I can lead them through quite a few moves. I like maintaining as much contact as possible, focusing on the connection, playing with the music. I realize that can be done with more complicated moves, as well. But with the emphasis on moves by so many I perhaps go to the other extreme? I don't know. :? Or maybe I'm a simple person at heart? When I started dancing I admit I was attracted to the fancy dancers with all the cool moves. Now, I'm not ashamed to say that I probably have forgotten some of the "moves". I enjoy simple dancing.
I do like doing fancy moves, spins etc and will do some dances with those; but my true love, my heart, my soul lies with beauty of simplicity. Just as there is something exciting about the fancy stuff there also is something special about simple dancing. I'm working on musicality, getting more of my body into the music. It is like Argentine tango dancing. People from the advanced and intermediate classes, yesterday night, told me that they were working on stuff that I know and am working on just through dancing. Musicality, little things that one can do with walking. I cannot get beginner concepts such as ochos (follower turns?) due to reasons I won't go into as this post is getting way off topic, but I love musicality and playing with simple things!!

I hear you Sagitta...I am a fan of the smooth, simple and well connected lead...but there are so few women that respond to this. There is one Salsera I know who is just dreamy to dance with...but most are like what I described above.
My current teacher was the first to say while she could do lots of spins...she wasn't excited by getting spun 10 times. It was more about dancing as a couple and maintaining good connection...so when I dance where she teaches...I dance differently.
In other places...I have to adapt to what the ladies enjoy...of course none of them really enjoy dancing with me all that much...but that's no biggie since I feel the same about them!
However...it can be a lot of fun to get someone to respond to a more relaxed lead when they are used to lots of spins...or to just pull a feint and not do a spin at all. Heh. ;)

My teacher told me earlier this week that he was going to start doing merengue with me next week and my heart almost stopped dead in my chest..luckily he laughed and I realised he was joking!
