Anyone else reading this? I just finished Song of Susannah and WOW am I wierded out.

It's scary, because I HATE Stephen King, really, I despise his books, aside from a few isolated pearls (Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, The Stand) I've just considered him commericial crap who can't write an ending if his life depended on it.

THEN I read the first in the Dark Tower series. I told my best friend, "THESE are the books stephen king wants to write. This is the story that's oozing out of this guys brain, everything else is just to finance this. This is the story he really wants to tell."

And then in the last book he says the same exact thing! He even talks about the other books mostly being for the money (sort of.)

So that was a little wierd. And THEN he puts himself in the book. Vain I thought, but then it was just ODD the way it all worked out. And then killing himself off in the end in the car wreck that really did almost kill him in real life....

Usually things don't wierd me out, but something about that ending (King dieing) is just so...morbid...really...wierd....anyway, had to share! :)

Don't tell me the ending! I LOVE these books, but I love all SK books. I own all but like 2... but Dark Tower is definately my favorites. So far I've gotten 4 other people to read them that all hate SK and of course they all loved them too. Its just something about the story that draws everyone in.
