I've encountered several ladies who were literally shaking. I could feel it in their hands. It usually doesn't last long, but I'm never sure what to do.

I saw the shaking thing once. The lady was new, and the man had been dancing for a long time. He stopped before he took a step and said "Justrelax. Now breathe." And she breathed with him, and they both laughed. Then, she was much better.

Don't know that I've ever had anyone actually shaking, but definately have had a few who were quite nervous and intimidated. I just tell them to relax, that it doesn't matter that they're a beginer, and that the whole point of dancing is to have fun. I then make sure to give them a really big smile the first time they don't follow something 100%, and then they see that I'm serious about having fun. After tht they seem to be a lot less nervous...and follow better to boot! :D
