How many of you here have taken the opportunity to go out dancing in a locale where you've traveled on business or vacation; something that was mainly not dance related?
I have certainly done so in my travels over the last three years or so and find the experience to be unique and enjoyable; in an unfamiliar area with different people and making comparrisons and contrasts with the dance scene where I live. 8)
If I ever am in your area and can get a way you better believe I'm going to be at one or some of your venues. 8)

 I look for salsa where ever I go, holiday, business - sometimes it finds me! Walking past a doorway and suddenly hearing sounds that are familiar - like a trained animal

The only time I travel is when im traveling specifically to dance. :D
i don't travel much but whenever i do (on vacation) i always look for opportunities to dance. mostly in night clubs and bars though. i seldom am in an area that another dance studio may be around. when i'm on vacation i'm camping, at a resort or on a cruise.
but i'm always looking for music and a dance floor.

Sometimes I travel for dance and sometimes not. When I'm travelling for reasons other than dance you may be sure that I will look for dancing opportunities. :) I enjoy the new adventures that this brings.

I love travel and go abroad 3-4 times a year, but my purpose is not to seek out places to dance. I will however, try to include it when I visit big cities that have a reputation for decent nightlife. Trying to go clubbing in some European cities can be totally DRAINING- the clubs don't start up till after 10:00pm(in Morocco it was after 11:00!) and getting home in the morning means you end up sleeping half the day, which I'd rather spend visiting World Heritage Sites... :?
