I'm just here to whine about being sore. We practiced for over 2 hours tonight (taking a few short breaks) and toward the end I felt like I was going to fall asleep from exhaustion. Now my feet are very stiff and sore, and my legs and butt are a little sore, and I'm just TIRED. But now that I'm through it all and am home on my comfy sofa I'm sort of proud of myself for even being able to get to this point. I just kept saying to myself "I'm an athlete now, I'm an athlete now" over and over.
I'm going to go take some Advil and massage my feet :-)

Ballet suppliers sell little rubber balls with spiky things all over them that you can roll with the soles of your feet; it'll help with the soreness.
My other favorite is Mr. Happy from Bath and Body Works (actually they have a new roller ball that works better) that I used to use on my back and shoulders when I finished a rough theater arts practice.

I'm feeling much better today. It's kind of fun knowing I worked that hard.
My Pilates teacher has those spiky balls, I love them!

Isn't that a great feeling? "Wow, I worked so hard on my dancing today, that I'm sore!" I like it when my abs hurt...that means I've really been using my center.

Funny, Laura, I was betting that you'd actually feel worse today (glad you're not). Whenever I do a fatigue-generating workout, I'm always worse the next day (and sometimes the day after that). It's good aches and pains, though, right? I mean, it means you're "productive", right??!!!

I do over 2 hours every Monday night, so I know where you are coming from. When I started this schedule I was a wreck on Tuesdays, but now it's just a normal thing, I don't feel it much at all. (Maybe it means I need to work harder!?). :?
