I'll best remember Johnny Cash for his variety show in the early 70's and his off the wall songs such as "A Boy Named Sue" and "One Piece at a Time"

Rest in Peace John.

I'll best remember Johnny Cash for the San Quentin number.

"I never felt any competition from anybody else. I always did my thing ... the way I felt it, the way I saw it, the way it feels right to me."

Hi everybody…

I’m just here to spread the word about a wonderful new book written by a man named Bill Miller, who is the man behind the website, www.johnnycash.com . The book is called Cash: An American Man, and 100% of Bill Miller’s royalties for the sale of this book go towards charity. Here’s the link to check out the book for yourself… amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0743496299/ref%3Dase%5Ftheofficijohn-
You will find this book wonderfully informative and entertaining, and will be helping others who are less fortunate too. Please check it out!!

Wasn't that the episode where he played a ... country music star?

I love Columbo, btw. The older episodes are the best, I think. Peter Falk is still the same, but I think the writing for the later incarnations of the show just weren't up to the old standards. Just my opinion. *shrug*

And your opinion, as usual, is right. Not up to the original at all--too much trying to make Columbo into a character, which really wasn't what the series was about.
