I'm doing dance theory at the moment and planning to do my student exam in July this year, does any body have an idea how long it will take me to do the associate?

What does your exam prep teacher say?
When I was inquiring about taking ISTD exams (same ones, but under the amateur program) several people indicated the usual practice (for US pro candidates at least) seems to be to do student-teacher and associate at the same time.

She said we needed more time to get teaching practice in, as i still study to take IDTA exams at the same time, but with the examiner having the amended exam paper so he knows I am a student teacher.
After doing the student level i'm not sure what else I have to do for the associate, any ideas?
It will take me another year I recon, mainly because I'm studying at college 2 nights a week as well as a job and dancing.

Makes sense...here's a question: did you get any sense of how long it takes the average successful candidate to prepare? I'm just looking for a decent guesstimate here. Thanks!
