I was just thinking about how awesome it would be to have a hot and sexy picture of a top latin or standard couple up on my wall for me to admire and be inspired by. I did a search online though and it doesnt seem like anything of that sort is available... do I just have to go to a website with photos from comps and purchase onein a big size? I feel like staged photos of dancing would be more "perfect" than a photo taken at a comp, no? Advice appreciated :D .

That's a really good idea...I have no idea where to get one, but I'd like to know where to get a salsa-ish poster, or just cool dance posters in general.

I think that Kinko's will make a poster from your photo. Or pick one at a comp from the phptographer. I ued to have a picture of Donnie and Gaynor on my "Image Board." (pictures and words from magazines showing what you want to manifest in your life.)[/i]

If you email me I can get you a Chrisanne poster of one or two of their top sponsored couples... maybe something like...
Markus Homm & Charlotte Egstrand
or Timothy Howson & Joanne Bolton
or William Pino & Alessandra Bucciarelli

Oooh, we have so many beautiful posters in my dance studio and the ballroom. I'd love to get a salsa couple, like the one in my icon. Gorgeous. Very good decoration idea, come to think of it. :P

more art than pictures, but still inspirational. check allposters.com, which i found after a bit of looking around...all pretty small size though i think, but couldnt find anything better. think the approach of finding ur own pic and enlarging it would work better

Sorry, I'm a swing kid and not a balroom dancer (*at all*) so excuse me if this question is odd/taboo/wrong/whatever, I don't intend to offend:
In that great pic, why isn't the guy smiling? He doesn't even look like he's enjoying himself. If you're not elated why bother dancing?!

No offense taken. We enjoy our dancing immensely. He probably isn't smiling for a few reasons.

1 he is trying to catch me as I go hurtling myself through space completely confident that he will catch me...
2 it is a passionate moment in our choreography and not ever moment of passion is a big toothy grin. Some of the more intimate moments are a bit more serious/internal than that.

You don't see big smiley faces on ATango dancers, but I doubt they are unhappy to be dancing.

I could never bend like that! Not even when I was younger! A beautiful picture, Larinda. I don't ballroom, either, but it would be so neat to try on a dress like that.

Actually, this one is Bill Brauer's, but Vettriano is one of my favourites! What's not to like about artists who paint dancers?
Gotta love Degas...

P.s. I wanted to get posters via art.com, but they're too small. I wanted large ones. :P

very true.. when i'm really 'in the zone' as they say, the look on my face could get seriously intense.. its consuming .. all your heart is in it, u dont even care wether u look cheerful.. sad.. angry.. or even wierd .. u get passed that ... like a dart board with circles spiraling in smaller and smaller.. to the 'bullseye'.. it feels great and hence .. will look great.. see the passion .. see it! :D

Do you spend every single moment of a swing dance with a big toothy grin pasted on your mug?
