I still experience a lot of forum downtime periods. :?

Is this still scheduled maintenance, or is it a sign of problems?

Hi Danish Guy,

One thing I can assure you is I have a complete backup of the forums at all times and everything is good on my end.

The problem is with the host. They are undergoing a very large upgrade. One of the advantages of this upgrade is Dance Forums will be or it's own dedicated computer on the fastest possible connection. I've been with this host for a couple of years and they are really good at what they do. This is the first time I've had a problem and it's because of the upgrade. There shouldn't be much more downtime.

Thanks DanceMentor.

Then I will relax, knowing all is in good hands,
and just check in later for my forum fix. 8)

Hopefully the upgrade will be over soon.

. . . ot have to wait 10 minutes for it to respond.

Hey, but aren't all good things worth waiting for?

Especially this addiction!

I probably logged in 50 times today, as well . . . sometimes, at least 5 or 6 times just to make a single response to a post!

Yesterday was the first day ever that I didn't have any downtime at all.

Okay now, I just had a weird experience. I was in the middle of replying to a topic, the computer screen "burped" and my post went to a different thread that I hadn't viewed in days. Strange.

Everytime I try to post on a new thread, I have to log in. Sometimes I have to log in twice for one post, other times, it's fine. I think there are gremlins running around the halls of the forum. :P

OK, I'm slowing down a bit myself, but still, I'm still not having any significant problems, so...

A HUGE Dance Forums Thank You to all of you who are sticking in there while you're having difficulties. :D :D :D

I wonder if it's just this Central California to Central California Coast thing. There is only a few of us that this happens to . . . I sometimes have to login many times just to get a single response in . . . then I hit enter, and 10 minutes later . . . it takes! :?:
