Anyone here from the Seattle area?

I have twice in the past two years traveled up to the Seattle area to visit a relative who lives in Bellevue and while there I checked out the dancing there and it is incredible.

I went to one of the Wednesday night swing dances at the Century Ballroom and had the time of my life there. The crowd was warm and friendly and the old time ambience of the facility was really cool. I also went to the Saturday dances at the Orion Ballroom in Kirkland and that is an awesome venue; more like a ballroom then a studio and again incredibly friendly.

I want to return for a third visit next summer and you can bet I'll be there again.

I posted this almost a year ago and made my third visit again in July. That is the only area other then Phoenix that I've gone dancing outside of Tucson and as I said I've had a great experience with the dancing at those places that I mentioned and just wondered if there was anyone here who lives in the Seattle area; there is one other person on this forum who does. :D

Next time you come, let me know. I live about a two hour drive north of Seattle. I'd be happy to make a trip down to join a Dance Forums enthusiast for an event like that. I've heard there are great studios there but haven't experienced them yet. I'd also like to check out some of the great dance clothing stores in the city.

Yeah-same here. I'd be more than happy to meet up with another dance enthusiast too. It's about a 30 minute drive north from here to Seattle, depending on what part of Seattle and when it is. Just let me know and I'll see what I can do... 8)

Don't know when I'll be up there again; I won't be going this coming summer since I want to travel to San Diego.

When I do and I most likely will sometime in the next three years I'll let you know. :D
