I assume Tango Nuevo refers to the style danced to some of the newer music. I assume Astor Piazzolla was one of the founders of this new style (correct me if I wrong). I've tried listening and dancing to some of this music but it seems kind of odd, as if it were about slavery and domination or something.

What are some of the other artists that are considered Tango Nuevo?

What is it about the style of dance that makes it different?

I got a little more info at the Milonga this weekend. People were telling me that Tango Nuevo integrates the "close embrace" style with the more open style. Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne did the workshops and show. They were exciting to watch. Here is some info about them:
