Talking Jive

I remember listening to Cab Calloway and loving some of the jive talk. I don't know all of the expressions now, but I remember having a lot of fun with it.

For example, I think a "solid sender" is a swell person and "off the cob" means out of date.

Do you have any favorite jive speak?

Really don't have any jive talk, but have heard some by listening to CC's music .. .

"She was a red-hot hoochie-coocher," "THE" Cab Calloway song, and of course referring to Minnie the Moocher who sang on some of his songs!
