Here's something you don't see every day: a group of DanceSport competitors performing on a rainy city street in January.
To promote Vancouver's upcoming Snowball Classic international DanceSport competition happening Feb 11-13, DanceSport BC organized a "Street Ambush" demo of DanceSport. It took place in the rain on a busy downtown street corner in Vancouver, Canada Sunday January 30. The dancers performed around a single intersection, with music blasting and television news cameras everywhere. After an hour they were cold but thrilled to have promoted DanceSport.
The reaction of the people on the street was an adrenaline rush: people exclaiming with delight how they would love to dance like that, cars honking their appreciation, and lots of people wanted to know more about DanceSport. The funniest moment was when I heard a woman behind me gasp and exclaim, "look at the ass on that guy!"

BTW, the girl in the purple dress is my daughter.
