I have heard of a version of cha cha which progresses around the floor like two-step. I have a few questions about this:

1. What is traveling Cha Cha?
2. Is "Traveling Cha Cha" the official name?
3. Is it a country dance like two-step, WCS, ECS, polka, etc. with lots of patterns or is just a preset choreographed dance?
4. Is it the same thing as Cowboy Cha Cha?
5. Is it an important country dance to know or is it more of a specialty dance?
6. Is "cape" position the same thing as "sweetheart" position?
7. If someone is talking about a traveling version of cha cha is there only one dance they're most likely talking about?

Interesting questions... I do travelling cha cha now and then at latin dances. I would like to know if it is the same as country travelling cha cha.

Here's a pretty good discription of the dance. http://www.coloradocafe.com/dances/TravelingChaCha.htm

It's pretty similar to what couples in our area call the Traveling Cha Cha.

Thanks for the link, but, at least when I tried, I get a "404 Not Found" server error so I can't see the page.

6. Is "cape" position the same thing as "sweetheart" position?

Just to answer my own question, after searching on the internet I believe that "cape position"="sweetheart position".
