I occurred to me that, quite likely, everyone chose his/her screen name for a particular reason. Without getting too personal or invading anyone's privacy, I would love to hear what your screen name means to you.
For me, dancersdreamland, just seemed like an obvious choice since it's the name of my web site. I guess, the name for my site came about as I wanted to create a place where dancers of all types from a variety to background who participate in any type of dance could just feel at home. A sort of dream land for dancers.

Even though I also do, and love, a variety of ballroom and other dances I started with salsa, here in San Diego. Before and after everything else I'm a salsero and one who developed my style and my love of dance in the SD salsa community. Also, at least according to all the biological information I am aware of, I am male...so SDsalsaguy...SD = San Diego, salsaguy = salsa & guy. :D

That is my first name and the first letter of my last name, yet despite the red devil avatar, my last name means quite the opposite! I couldn't find a little angel!
I am known at work as the devil's advocate - one who probes or plays the other side to get a subject out in the open for discussion purposes! That's why I chose that avatar!
pygmalion
10-02-2003, 09:20 PM
pygmalion was an ancient greek mythical figure who carved a woman out of marble and who, out of sheer longing, brought her, galatea, to life.
I chose the name pygmalion because I couldn't pick between the two characters. I feel that dance has brought me to life and transformed me, but not because some man has shaped me or changed me. I have changed myself. So I identify with both the male figure and the female figure. I'm both pygmalion and galatea.
But I had to pick one. *shrug* So pygmalion it is. :D

Mine's easy. I'm predominately a swing dancer, therefore the Hepcat, and my name's Bob.

It's also a play by George Bernard Shaw that was later turned into the musical, My Fair Lady.

Oh, and mine... I think it fits my personality. To me, swing is more than a dance, it's a feeling-- I feeling I had found in the music years before I learned the dance.
And kitten... I can be pretty playful, cute (not as cute as a real kitten), frisky, and I purr when petted the right way!

Yes, and there's also a forties-era non-musical movie adaptation of the play, called Pygmalion. Same Eliza Doolittle character. Not as cute as Audrey Hepburn, though. :D

I think the Swingin part is obvious to you all by now, ehhem Lindy
The Boo part is from Monsters Inc. Since I wear my hair in pigtails a lot my boyfriend started calling me Boo from the movie. (I also started calling him Kitty, which if you've seen the movie you know what I'm talking about) Also they're very fitting pet names for the two of us if you know the age difference
dancergal
10-03-2003, 04:27 PM
For me, I reason I chose Dancergal is because my boyfriend bought me a license plate holder that says 'Country Dancing Gal" when I was doing a lot of country dancing, so I got dancergal from that.

1) First name is Phil
2) My favorite birds are Owls
3) I tend to be a bit nocturnal
4) Many of my friends tell me I'm a hoot
5) My facial expressions and such I am told are somewhat owl-like

heehee, so my name isn't actually all that interesting of a story...
It was two things really. Firstly, all throught high school, and even now, I tend to be easily excited, and to express that, i tend to bounce! So, one day at school, I was bouncing around my friend Kyle trying to reach his height (6'2, I'm 5'6). Then, later that evening, we were talking online, and he pissed me off (jokingly) and I said I would bounce on him as punishment, and then I wrote WEEEE. so, he started calling me bouncybouncyweee! unfortunalty, almost evey male in the universe thinks that my name has some hidden innuendo, which it doesn't. I don't say things incognito, I just say em out loud!
d nice
11-07-2003, 07:56 AM
My first name is Damon, I do a lot of hip hop and my old crew in Boston gave me the name D Nice as my b-boy name.
B-Boy names are generally chosen based on personal or physical characteristics either pro or con. I'm actually kind of mean, sarcastic, and they thought calling me D Nice was a great inside joke.
What can I say they were right.

Sagitta
11-07-2003, 01:51 PM
Mine is Sagitta from Sagittarian. It just so happened I was having this conversation with someone about who believes in horoscopes, that what star you are means a lot etc. I was having fun teasing her gently about it, particularly as she was a Sagittarian, like myself. I also actually fit more of the Saggitarian profiles we looked up then she did :D Anyway, this was on my mind when I started registering and being in one of my contradictory/devilish/playful moods mood I chose Sagitta as it sounded like a female name.
That's the sort of logic I followed in choosing my avatar as well. I figured out that I should continue with my contradictory theme... Now I'm stuck  I can change my avatar, but not my name. Hey, but if I choose a new avatar that matches my personality, and I have the same user name, that still would go along with the contradictory theme that I had started....
NeoDevin
12-01-2003, 09:30 PM
Well, Neo means new, and Devin is my name. Not too long ago, I basically completely changed my personality. I decided I didn't really like who I was or where I was in life, so I fixed it. Getting more into dancing was part of that change, so I figured I'd bring the new me to this forum. (Note, getting addicted to this forum was not in fact, part of the plan)

You realise that sagitta means `arrow', and that it's a separate constellation all by itself?
It also contains the cluster M71.

12-03-2003, 11:40 PM
This is another thread I'm late for.......
Ok, mine.
Salsa (as a lifestyle) had always been my passion for as long as I could remember.
Chinita came from 'la chinita'.......the nick name given to me by my Latino familia as my name is not easy for a Spanish speaker to remember, and also of my Asian mixed baground.
I'm refered to/known as 'la chinita who dances like a latina'.
It's a real hounor to be remembered this way , so I'm using it as my posting name  !
Phil Owl
12-04-2003, 03:16 PM
For me it was easy:
1) Phil is my first name
2) My favorite boids are owls (affecting Brooklyn accent)
3) I tend to be a bit nocturnal (always have been since was a youngin')
4) Many of my friends tell me I'm a hoot, and that some of my facial expressions are somewhat owl-like.

hahahha, salsachinita. I actually didn't think you were actually a chinita! i thought you were hispanic called that, 'cause many Latinos are given that name because they have slantier eyes. that is sooo cool though, that the gave it to you. I love the freedom in Spanish nick names. You can't call someone Fasto in enlighs, but Gordo or Gordis is acceptable, along with "mi Negra" (my black one) and like was mentioned, Chinita.
I thought you were Hispanic just because you only mentioned Hispanic friends and the like. -=bonk=- embarassing! shows what I know. Bad Lily! assuming is bad!!

I'm on the Purdue Ballroom Dance team, and Purdue's nickname/mascot is "the Boilermakers" (FYI, a boilermaker is a fancy name for the guys that used to shovel coal to make the engine go on trains  ) or "boilers" for short. And I'm a girl, so ballroomboilergirl seemed to represent me well: I'm a girl who is on the Purdue Ballroom Dance Team.

Not at all!
I feel more at home with Hispanics than with Asians  !
Even if my Spanish isn't really up to scratch, everybody who knows me ASSUMES that I must be (at least partly) Hispanic  from my involvements & passion for my salsa community.
So my plan is to learn Spanish (quietly), and one day come blurting out with all the words 8) !
HothouseSalsero
12-29-2003, 10:54 AM
It's a phrase that I made up to describe those of us who didn't grow up dancing salsa, and didn't just learn it as a street dance, but learned it in a formal, structured, some might say artificial, environment. (Think hothouse cucumber.) Using it as a name is meant to say upfront that I am not even going to try to make any attempt to claim "authenticity." It's also sort of ironic since "hot" tends to be associated with salsa, so at first glance it seems to be a way of claiming those "Yo soy candela" type associations, but it's actually self-disparaging. But then again, it could also be seen as defiant: yeah, I'm a hothouse salsero--what about it?!

KevinL

KevinL is my name. First name Kevin, last name Laddison. I'm just too boring to think up something more original, I guess.
My friend Sarah from California is more creative, though. When we first met in a Lindy class in Berkeley she told her friends about me, but didn't know my name so called me Cgwipmog. That stood for Cute Guy Who Is Probably Married Or Gay.
Then, as she got to know me better I became Cgwinmog. Cute Guy Who Is Not Married Or Gay.
I like that name, 8^)

I usually go by Kat or AliKat, but those were used up, so "Puss" was another name for "Kat", and in my younger years, alot of my going out and being social at the bar scenes consisted of many nights of "boot-wearing".........along with one really bored female checking out the dance forum= "Puss'nBoots"....................gotta love me! Long story...here goes...
My best friend, more like a sister in looks, joined the Navy. One night after a wild and slightly intoxicating evening out...she and some buddies decided to get tattoos. Shanna...is obsessed with dolphins...so hers was a dolphin with the name "Seductress" tattooed under it. Where that came from, who knows. Perhaps since she is the opposite of a lady's man...it was fitting.
This was year's ago when Hotmail popularity was coming into play. Her e-mail address became..."Seductress@hotmail.com." When it came time for me to choose mine, she decided that since I was not the seducing type I would have to have a parallel. I was more of a you can look but not touch girl...tempting if you will. So...mine was to be "Temptress@hotmail.com." Well, upon registration, Temptress was taken, as was Temptress2...so, being the witty girl I am, I chose TemptressToo and it has stuck. Most all of my logon's are TemptressToo because it is easy to remember.
Absolutely little to do with sex or anything like that. ;) Hell, I was a virgin until I was 22 and my first is still my boyfriend...some 4 years later.

toisan is a peasant dialect of chinese. admitting that you speak it is not unlike telling people you're from appalachia. speak toisan in hong kong and they'll look at you wondering if you just swam over. most of my chinese friends laugh when they learn my email address; think "whitetrash@aol.com" for a american cultural equivalent. or maybe "abo" for an aussie equivalent.

Well, in Chinese astrology I was born in the year of the Dragon, in fact I'm a fire Dragon which is meant to be a very charismatic and powerful sign. A lot of the characteristics of Dragons are very "me" (and I'm also a very "Virgo" Virgo too) so I really identified with it, and the fascination has stuck with me for a long time. I have the Chinese character for Dragon tattooed on the small of my back. I consider it a symbol of my power. The dancing part is obvious. Ditto the avatar now I guess.

my nick is actually quite interesting...
I had the habbit of bouncing while dancing, so my dance teacher called me 'the skunk' after 'Pepe le Pew' the skunk that chases cats in cartoons, 'cause when he chases 'em cats he jumps...
then, I had my hair dyed red, and was a redhead for some time... still bouncing, they called me squirrel... and I tend to resemble this animal, 'cause I'm always on the move (restless and tiring, as some say :))
hope you liked it
Genesius Redux
05-04-2004, 10:38 AM
St. Genesius was supposedly a Roman (comic) actor living in the 3rd century. During a performance in a play satirizing Christianity before the Emperor Diocletian, Genesius (who was playing the role of a catechumen about to be baptized) was suddenly and miraculously converted to Christianity. He professed his faith in front of the Emperor, after which he was tortured and beheaded. Although his story is probably apocryphal, he is the patron saint of actors.
Redux from the Latin verb "reducere," an adjective meaning "restored." I shall let the riddle masters consider the potential multiple meanings when linked with "Genesius."

Popular myth! My dressmaker's dummy is better known as the Generic Adjustable Lifelike Assistant for Textile Engineering Applications... GALATEA
Now if I could only get her to enunciate the "H" in foxtrot footwork...

My username is simple! MH are the initials of my first & last name. Marion is my first name. Groove comes from my previous life as a struggling writer and I wrote a novel and the main character was named Dante Groove. Dante Groove was a takeoff on Stephen R. Donaldson's Thomas Covenant Unbeliever Series (those were my favorite books at the time) with an urban feel. I've always loved the word Groove (It's the double vowel thing!)
Dancing Dragon...I'm a Virgo and been told I'm a Virgo's Virgo which I'm anal, earthy, and loves to dance! All are true! Ha! Ha!

My username came from when I first started attending social dances.
I wanted to dance so badly, but I would just sit and hide in the corner for fear of someone who wasnt in my beginners class asking me to dance
I was scared that I would stuff up and everyone would be looking, laughing and pointing at me, you know that sort of thing.
I was worried they would ask me to dance a dance I didnt know and at that stage all I knew was 3 progressive dances, and the basics in Cha and Rumba, Waltz and Quickstep!
Even as I learnt more dances I feared dancing with the more advanced dancers.
Well I have come a long long way since then! I will dance with anyone, and if I dont know the dance...bad luck I get up and wing it
But I guess that confidence comes with realising that every last person on the floor was once a beginner who didnt know every dance, and if I stuff up, well tough , just keep going, no one minds!
I use Bob, because my last name (Finger) sounds too creepy when used as a handle. Even still, I use it on some forums anyway :?

Yikes, its been years since my Greek Mythology class, but I just remembered this story. Actually, Pygmalion was kind of a closet case who did nothing but lust after his beautiful statue...but he didn't bring to life on his own. He had a little help from the one Goddess who took pity on his immense love for the statue...;)
Who else but Aphrodite would do such a thing? I loved that story btw. :)

DWise1
09-06-2004, 02:36 AM
It's simply the one that I use on all fora I join, though in some I use dwise1_aol. It's my AOL screenname.
Where it came from was my network user name at Hughes Aircraft, dwise (from "David Wise"). At that time, our group had acquired a few of those new-fangled MacIntosh computers (floppy drives only) for doing our documentation. I labeled my first floppy with my user name, but when I expanded to two diskettes I attached a "1" and "2" to the first and second labels respectively. Then one day I refered to the first diskette by name, "dwise1", and the other engineer started laughing.
So when I had to come up with a screenname on AOL, I just remembered that unintentional pun and used it. And now you know the rest of the story.

The meanings of colors are very strongly tied to the culture and vary greatly between cultures. For example, in European cultures black is the color of death, whereas in Japan it's white (from what I've been told).
As for blue, while in American culture it's a sad color (I don't know about English culture), in German it's a drunken color ("Die Donau ist nicht blau, aber Strauß war als er das Lied komponierte" -- "The Danube is not blue, but Strauß was when he wrote the song."). I somehow get the impression that in French it's happy. I don't know what it is in Spanish; there's a current Rock en Español song that says "El amor es azul como el mar" ("love is blue like the sea").
It might be interesting for members from different cultures or who knows different cultures to tell us what blue means in those various cultures.
Eg, what does blue mean in Sweden? I would hazard a guess of "cold", but I'm probably wrong.

Hmm... I thought you just liked the LeAnn Rimes song "Blue." It simply it was your favorite color. There's also the folk singer Livingston Taylor who sings about how he washed his new denims with his clothes and now "all of my clothes are blue."
Purr is the name of my grey tabby cat. She's 8 years old and weighs 17 pounds. Her favorite toy is an striped catnip sock, a.k.a. "Sockie", which she carries through the house caterwauling up a storm. She's named Purr because, well, she purrs a lot, quite loudly too.

Lucretia
09-07-2004, 08:03 AM
Lucretia is a mistake, nothing but a mistake.
For a short while I believed that the fiancé of Hamlet was called Lucretia. And somebody in the drama told her to go to a monastery and become a nun.
At this point in my life I was told to go home and stay in bed with a blanket over my head, for a long time. I refused and I also believed that Lucretia did the same in Hamlet.
The fiancé was named Ofelia. And I believe she did go to the monastery (and so did I). So everything is a mistake. But it is a significant name, so I kept it.
I saw someone here at DF misspelling it …Lucerita. (I believe it was borikensalsero). It sounds much nicer …much softer not so hard. More latino.
Can I change name after joining?
/Lucretia (or Lucerita ?)

Diavo -- a meaningless-yet-cool sounding nickname my bestfriend gave me years and years ago. "Dave" was getting old. I liked it instantly.
It wasn't until a few months ago that I discovered the closest derrivation of it in reality, Italian: "diavolo" meaning "devilish" or "impish" (which incidently describes my charm  ) and "diavolo" is used as a cooking term to mean "spicy". :D
I also used it as the name of my main character in my stop motion videos. Diavo Jinx. (see my website)

My name came from several reasons. At the time i began using it, i was 49, living in kansas. No big deal, but.... Began learning to dance WCS that year, Had my 30th wedding anniversary that year , Went to Cancun for it that year, felt like I had rediscovered Gold in my wife, since SHE was from sacramento, ca---seemed like a good play on words....the gold rush of 1849. And....tada! Wasn't being used!
wow that's a long thread to read all the explanations but it's fun
well i got a lot of different nick names over the years, and some where pretty weird, one was "bloody tounge" veit, because my tounge was always starting to blead when i was playing my basson. So i didn't want to take that one. I thought of my email adress as first one freakyveit, but that is so crapy, i decided not to take it. than i thought of skapa, because i have a radio show called like that (in the meaning of ska-dad (ska is a very cool music style)), (www.kanalrattefm.de/skapa - careful it's in german - don't be scared :P) but i thought, i when i got that one, that sounded so show-off, and I'm not at all the dad of ska.
One day i had to make a membershop at www.linuxforen.de because i love computers, and especially linux, but i had some questions to ask, so i had to get a name - quickly. by than i was the only one using linux where i lived, so i called myself luh as shortcur for "linux user huetten" (huetten is the place where i live)
in another dance forum, i called myself skanker because i love the ska, and skankers are the people who dance the ska, but since i don't do a lot there, and i keep forgetting my passwords and usernames, i want to have them as similar as possible - that's why i have a computer nick name in a dance forum :D
luh
Rosa is my middle name, though not many people (outside of my family) know that. So that means I can use a name which is genuinely part of me and who I am, but also allows me to be anonymous.

GalacticDancer44M
05-16-2005, 10:44 PM
GalacticDancer44M is a combination of a couple of my passions. I have two old Ford Galaxie Superstock style cars (a 1963 1/2 with a 427ci engine and a 1962XL with a 406ci) that have been a part of me for some time. I've owned one for about 18 years now. I've had about a dozen of them over the years starting out around High School. The Galactic part of the nicname is derived from these cars, but meaning the "Galaxy" or "Universe". Dancer is obviously another passion. 44M is obviously my age (now 45 :D ) M: Male.
I guess when I leave this place someday, I hope to eternally keep on dancing someplace high up (with the absence of gravity) in a faraway Galaxy! Maybe I'll just see you on the Dark Side of the Moon. Just hope I have a partner to dance with!
Another interesting twist of fate, is that one of my old time hero's was a Ford Sponsered driver for a factory Superstock Galaxie in the early 60's. He later got out of racing (around 1970) and I heard he ran a dance school! I heard this before I ever even thought about dancing and I wondered how he could ever give up racing cars for dancing! Little did I know I'd be doing the same. I've dropped out of racing my cars, but I still tinker with them and drive around town. I found some old drag racing article that said he ran an Arthur Murray Studio in California. So, strange that I've followed in his footsteps. (My friends can't understand what this dancing passion is all about, but it is one powerful force! ) His racing name is "Gas Ronda". (Gas was short for his first name. Something like Gastromi?) Has anybody in California heard of him? He's got to be in his late 60's, maybe 70's now. Raced out of L.A. (Downtown Ford) Wonder if he's still dancing?
HF are my initials.
I used to post with my real name in a local salsa forum. But this turned out to get too personal even in non-personal threads. So I decided better to be more careful.
When I read this thread I think I will have to make up something with more meaning ...

chandra
06-08-2005, 05:04 PM
hmmm...
Chandra. On first galnce it would seem simple right? Just a name, a pretty name. The name of a hindu goddess. the sanskrit name for a planet. Is it my name? No.
However, recently, when explaing this to a freind i wrote a 2 page email about it. It turned into a discertation on my religious (or non-religious as it may be) beliefs.
Basically its a long story. But, the short version is, I would've been named that exept for a promise to my grandmother, and i really like it.
If i ever move, its my new name.
An asid; "why i shouldve been named chandra"
does anyone know any vedic astrology, or in others, Jyotish? My parents were really into that and many other hinduism type things. (The movement they are into is called TM short for transcendental meditation.) I live in the TM capital of the world, and there is even a full sclae university. We are the fourth most dangerous cult in the world. Funny thing, the main goal of all of us is world peace, and non violence.
Anywase, cha or ga is my jyotish sound (sound that i shuld be named if my parents want nature to support me)
Im not saying i buy into all that stuff, in fact i really disagree with alot of the ideas. But thats the story.
If your interested in my personal religious convictions, dill send you my little essay. It turned into quite a work.

Keelzorz
03-28-2006, 12:53 AM
Mine has a funny story. My team was trying to do registrations for the BU comp last year, and we realized a lot of people went by short nicknames or the like. So as we sorted through all the names, we started going through some of the classic roles...we referred to one senior as "Uncle Grandpa", after he had served as president and then continued to pass wisdom down. In that conversation, I got tagged as Keeley "Keelz0rz" Stevens. And well, it stuck.
And Keelzorz I am. :-D My name doesnt lend easily to nicknames, but it does permutate well - I also use Kaeleix, a manipulation of the tradition spelling, Kaeleigh.

unless of course they want to keep us guessing :)
But isnt' that what the avatar is for ??

SuzieQ

SuzieQ is a popular nickname for Sue.
There was a rock song a few years ago by that name--don't remember who sang it.
I mark my drink cups (at dance socials, etc.) with a Q.
Class of '70.....
My oldest child turns 30 today!!!!!
Congrats! And happy b-day to him (her?)!!

I got the impression you chose it because of SuzieQ in salsa.
Didn't that rock song go like..wake little suzy, wake up,.......

You're thinking of "Wake up Little Suzie" by Simon and Garfunkel. There's actually a 70's classic rock song called "Suzie Q" which was done by Creedence Clearwater Revival...I think that's the one that Suzie is referring to. :)

Yes, the CCR song is what I was thinking of. Should have been able to remember that-they used to be one of my favorite groups! And the other song was also sung by the Everly Brothers in an earlier incarnation!
I don't do much salsa, so don't know what the SuzieQ is, but I think I've heard it referred to before.
Thanks for the good wishes, Lynn! My oldest is a daughter, a wonderful young woman.
Zaratustra shaking it

Zaratustra Shaking it...
Well Zaratustra, from nietzsche: Also sprach Zaratustra.
"shaking it" because of the dancing.
There is no mystery in it.

Funny, that you mentioned the CCR song. It was one of the songs I sang Kareoke to last night!

NielsenE
03-30-2006, 08:50 PM
My login name is rather uninspired, but I'm NielsenE or more commonly nielsene almost everywhere else, so... Kinda for the same reason Larinda mentioned, it helps keep me from saying some of the first things that come to mind and thinking about it first (not that it always helps :). Plus it makes it easier to remember what login name to use everywhere as I've had nielsene since about '92 in some capacity or another....
Of course some people seem to insist its some sort of bad chemistry joke -- 'ene' being the normal ending for an alkene.... No idea what type of hydrocarbon base a "niels" is supposed to be though.....
Peaches
03-31-2006, 01:42 PM
Peaches is my husband's nickname/pet name for me.
When we first started dating he would comment that I had a great...butt.
He likes to tease me and make me blush, particularly in front of parents/formal situations, but he would never comment on my butt in front of them, so it got shortened to G.A., and he'd make a comment about "Georgia on my mind." (GA being the postal abbreviation for the state of Georgia, for those not in the know.)
Somehow that got mutated into Georgia peaches. (Again, for those not in the know, GA is known for it's peaches. Although having lived nearby, it seems like sugar mills, red clay dirt, and huge bugs is more accurate.) Anyway. I don't know how we got to Georgia peaches, but I'm guessing it was just one of those stupid-cutesy things that happens when you're first dating.
After all that, the name Peaches stuck. And even now, that's what he calls me--I can't remember the last time he actually used my name.
tsk tsk... you should look for it then ;)
Eh, if it wants to be found, i would've found it by now, else i shouldn't force the poor thing, should I :nope: ??!!

Your name never made me think you were female.

So anybody who likes that kind of thing can try to figure it out.

Zhena
11-27-2006, 10:42 PM
I chose the posting name of Zhena because it reflects my love of folk dances from the Balkans. Although my husband and I started ballroom dance a couple of years ago, we haven’t given up folk dance. In some Slavic languages zhena means woman or wife (as opposed to girl or unmarried woman), and several of my favorite women’s dances have “zhensko” somewhere in their name. “Zh” is a soft “j” sound like in the French name Jean, or the “z” in azure.

Quixote D(e) L(a) M(ancha)
I never did read the novel fully, nor can I speak or read Spanish. But I did read an abridged version in 5th grade or something. Somehow, he seemed to remind me of me - one of those nice guys who are misguidedly yet stubbornly trying to change the world, never realizing what fools they are...

miriam?
i think you got it, chacha. :) am grateful for this thread -- insightful!
for me, my family is from samos, an island off the coast of turky in the greek aegean. i've lived a lot of places throughout my life, with samos being the only constant -- it's definitely the place that feels most like "home" and "roots" to me. being a cancer, i guess that's important to me. ;)
so..."samina" is one word for "woman who is from samos".

Mine is my initials, my age at the time created, the state I live in, and the year I was born. Makes for a complicated email address, and I regret it now. But at the time when creating it (for email and other things, before I came on this site), they were asking for a name with both letters and numbers in it and this is all I could come up with. When I came on here I couldn't think of anything else to use. Wish I could change it now but can't think of what it should be, and besides, I'm close to 200 posts! Afraid no one would know who I was anymore! Lol!
Tanguera

I use the nick Milonguita (=little milonga dancer) on several forums, but here on DF it was already taken... so I chosed Tanguera (=tango dancer).
Mine fairly easy to figure - I like cats. I also like dogs but 'woof' just sounds awful for a name.
