im 14 and i just got so interested to learn breakdancing after being inspired by ppl i've seen recently. unfortunately, i don't think i have the strength to bust the floor moves, regardless of my own training. i've been toning for a while, but i don't think it's enough yet since i can't support my weight with one arm such as during those short intervals in the 6 step where most of the weight is on one arm. eh, maybe it's the fact im not getting enough momentum. any suggestions?

btw, i have a party coming up this weekend and im def not gonna be able to learn breakin in 1 week, so i decided to brush up on some of my other stuff. can someone teach me any of these?:
-crip walk (some variations)
-grinding
-anything else u think would work in a party scene

i really appreciate it. thnx ppl

I swear to gods, this actually happened:

The day my grandfather died, I was five years and one day old. They hauled us all over to his house and put us kids on the couch in the livingroom so they could do their weeping and holding one another.

Everyone (my other cousins, similar ages) were all sitting around looking dumbly at one another. A man had just died. It was... weird...

So what do I pipe up and say just as Grandma is walking in to check on the coffee, but "So Grandpa's dead... does anybody know how to breakdance?"

I have NO idea, to this day, WHY the hell that came out.

The end.

Oh my. I really don't know what to say. Erm. Really, I don't.

No- and I got scolded (durh, can't imagine why.. ).

I just wonder WHY did that pop out of my MOUTH at that time... one of those things you cringe about later.

"toning" doesn't build strength at all. "TOning" is just a buzz word commercials use to make lazy ass people think they're going to get in shape.

If you want to get better at six step, then practice six step, it's as simple as that. You will get stronger at the movements you practice.

Six step doesn't require any strength. ;p Doing the one-handed handstand spins do, though. 8)
