Has anyone seen this? I first saw it last week and wow, wow, wow! I have found myself "unhappy" when the hour is up.

I can't wait for the next screening!

Never heard of it. 1600 is the only one I know -- although I believe it's in movie title, not TV. 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, that is. Where the President lives.

4400 is totally unfamiliar. What's the show about?

Oh. That explains that. It comes on the USA network, which I rarely watch. And, if you don't watch the network, you don't see the commercials. Here's a series synopsis.

Over the last century, thousands of people have disappeared and were presumed dead. Suddenly and inexplicably, 4400 missing people are returned all at once, as they were on the day they vanished. Unclear what this world altering-event means, the government investigates the 4400 to piece together where they've been and why they've been returned. It quickly becomes apparent that their presence will change the human race in ways no one could have ever foreseen.

Sounds pretty good, actually. And the first season is available on DVD. Kewl. 8) :D

It is "pretty good", I think. It is like a "William Tell", where the people have been "asleep" for how ever long they had disappeared for and when they were returned to earth, they looked/stayed the same, but their friends, families etc had all grown/changed during the course of the time.

There is one guy who was in one of the wars in the 50s (?) and had a sweetheart/girlfriend. (I think they were planning on getting married.) When he returns to earth, one of the other returnees is the GRANDDAUGHTER of his girlfriend. His girlfriend, I guess, assumed he was killed/MIA and got married and carried on with her life. The time span differs for each abductee and what is also interesting is that for some of the ones the show is following, they have supernatural/unexplained powers. One guy was very strong, another one seems to have the gift of giving/taking life, an eight year old girl is psychic... and that is all I can remember just now. In addition, there are the problems with these people readjusting to society/their familiesn and catching up or not, on what they missed during the years they were abducted.

Oh, and one of the questions in the programme, apart from where did the people go/what happened to them, is why they were returned when they did and altogether ie. were they returned for a particular purpose/event?

It is on again tomorrow night I think!

(Incidentally, when spoken, it is "The fortyfour hundred" and not "The four thousand four hundred)

According to the USA Network 4400 Series info page, they're rebroadcasting the first season, while they produce the second season.

Here's a link. I skipped the flash intro.

We've only had the telemovie here so far, and that was on last year. Fantastic build up but I must admit the ending was a bit of an anticlimax.

We are supposed to be getting the series later in the year.

Oh no! "Disaster"! Apparently tomorrow is the last in the series where "the truth about the 4400 is revealed. But will it be the last?"

That's it! I am cancelling my dates with Brad Pitt, George Clooney and the other 3,398 guys I was supposed to go out with tomorrow. I am staying home to see the 4400
