Wow.
I just got back from a cruise with my mom, and one night they had a party on the pool deck with a calypso band and a "parade of melons." The melons were amazingly carved, almost as well as the one above. That "Tango" melon would have won first prize!

Actually all those watermelon pieces are pretty amazing - almost too good to eat.

Especially when you add in the soft tropical night air and a near infinite supply of drinks involving rum and little paper umbrellas!

That's really cool, Porfirio!
I've seen some really cool carvings done out of giant carrots here in Japan AND in China- dragons winding around poles, etc. Some people over here freaked out when I ate one- not because I was chomping on a work of art but because I was consuming a raw carrot. :shock:

I think tango has definitely entered the collective unconscious on a grand scale.
