I'm just curious about what you think about this new giant passenger airliner. Do you think it is too big?
You can take a look here if you want to see some pictures  http://www.airbus.com/

What has this got to do with dancing?

 I think it holds more people (dancers), travels longer distances (further places to travel, for dance research  ) and without having checked it out, I think it might be slightly faster than the 747s (but not as fast as the Concorde) thereby getting its passengers to and from the clubs quicker.

I don't know but does it have to? The text next to the subject says: For some reason you want to talk about something other than dance. We're not sure why, but go ahead. (I mean subject Dancers Anonymous)

Well, there's a really good forum called Travel Forums, if you click above in
the upper righthand corner. People who contribute to that site may be glad to hear this information! :)

I think this is an airplane that will barely succeed. It is much too large for most airports. It is extemely heavy and Runways will have to be beefed up, new overpasses (in some cases) will have to be restructured. The walkways and gates will not accomodate such a large aircraft. All these things will limit the usability, and hence the viability of this aircraft. I think, instead, it is an attempt at bragging rights for the worlds largest airplane---A title Boeing has had for a long time. That being said, it is a marvelous technological feat.

Probably it is enough space on the aircraft to have a huge dancefloor. That would be GREAT especially for long flights. :D :D :D

I think they've already sold quite a few of them. The major hubs can accommodate such large aircraft with no problems.

Actually, they have taken quite a few orders for this aircraft, primarily, If I rmember right, from EAB member contries, and perhaps Japan? It IS a great feat, but the problems with the airports ARE quite numerous, with costly beefups because of the 380s weight and height. Nothing that can't easily be overcome, but at a price.

i think it would be great for HUB to HUB flying but really... how often do you see a 747 in the sky? if you don't live near a major hub then usually you see smaller jet planes (737, 757, 767) coming and going.

even if you do live near a major hub... the majority of the planes that come and go are not the huge 300+ passenger planes (747, 777). they're usually in the 150-250 range.

more frequent flights with smaller planes works better for people than less flights with larger planes. its more flexible for the traveler and less wasted seats for the airline.

I think it is really cool that it is possible to perform such a large project with so many differnt people from so many countries involved!

It depends on where you live, of course. In Japan they configure some 747's for short-haul domestic routes -- something you never see in North America or Europe.

Personally, I think the new airbus is ugly on the outside, but if it gets me where I want to go at a time and price I'm willing to pay, then great.
