Henry Higgins Complex?*does her best Audrey Hepburn impression*
Just you wait 'enry 'iggins, just you wait
You'll be sorry but your tears'll be too late
You'll be broke and I'll have money
Will I help you? Don't be funny!
Just you wait, 'enry 'iggins, just you waiiiiiiiiiit!
I assume you're talking the "Why can't a woman be more like a man" bit? If so, I notice it in other people (even some coworkers, whom I prefer to avoid as much as possible) ...actually, I don't see it all that often, but when I do, it tends to be really noticeable.

Actually, no I'm referring to the complex that arises when one attempts to make something of someone and it backfires but the Henry Higgins in question is unaware of how badly it is backfiring .... ;) I have specific examplese, but they'd probably get my husband fired, lol.

I was on the backstage crew of a My Fair Lady run at one of our local theaters several years ago. My dh played Colonel Pickering (although he REALLY wanted to be Henry Higgins). He also thought I should try for an onstage part but that would have been trying to make me something I am not!

had you gone through with it, it may have backfired, thus causing a case of HHC. :)

began to dance with me,
I could have danced, danced, danced (!!!!!!!!)

Oh definitely, danced aaaalllllll night!
(Just don't ask me to wakeup the following day! )
I have tried to "help" people in the past, which has backfired. Other times, it has been a success/well received. I am not aware of an instance when it was backfiring and I was unawares. But then again, that could be my HHC right there!
(I have suffered from "foot in mouth" from time to time though...  )

Uhhh... as is probably evident from my username, I have quite a connection with good old Henry. Not quite sure what it is, though ...
