View Full Version : Salsa clubs for teens(gosh I hate that word)

I am 18. I would love to go dancing- I would be willing to do anything, including getting fake ID to go out dancing. It would be nice to find salsa clubs that are under 21? Know of any around Sacramento, california? Thank you darlings.

Sorry Isabella! All I can say is, if you come to the UK, you'd be welcome anywhere at 18.

I found this on google -- http://cityguides.salsaweb.com/california/sacramento/clubs.htm -- and can only suggest that you call the venues. You may find that their door policy allows under 21s even if they are in bars or nightclubs.

All the clubs I know of around here let you in at 18. Maybe you should just call some to find out for sure--some clubs may have special nights where they only allow teens in.

You may also want to look into some mexican restaurants. Around here there are quite a few that have salsa dance nights and it doesn't matter what age you are.

it depends on the state... when I was younger, we'd drive to Ohio to go to clubs because Indiana won't let you in until you're 21. Check out local studios. Our studio parties are open to all ages and BYOB.

I know here in KCMO if its not already defined as an 18+ establishment then you must be 21 to get in period, probably due to any possible liability issues that may arise should someone under 21 be allowed in and end up tanked.

However, the place where i take salsa lessons started these 'after lessons' dance parties where once the lesson is over anyone is invited to come and dance the nite away, complete with a dj !

Yeah. In Philly, Orlando, and Dallas, where I've lived, there are some venues that cater to the in-between crowd. It's worth a call. 8) :D

que lastima there is no where for me to dance. Why don't you all just come over to my house and we can mix margaritas, and salsa together. That would be wonderful. Because I would love to practice. Gosh if I could only practice.

kinda pointless if you can't go out dancing huh?

Anyway I was gonna suggest contacting for dance companies/troupes in your area, I've heard of at least 2. They would know what clubs or socials are ok for underaged dancers.
