Some friends & I are travelling to Seattle & Vancouver soon and wondering if anyone can recommend any of the salsa clubs.

We don't have any special requirements, just somewhere lively and fun to go to dance (On1 and/or cuban style), with each other and with the locals (there are five of us, and we dance at various improver-intermediate levels).

The relevant dates are:

Seattle
Thu 8th Sept (though we may be too jet-lagged to be able to dance this night!)
Fri 9th Sept
Sat 10th Sept
(Mojito Cafe is right opposite our hotel - anyone got any comments on it? Also nearby are Mr Lucky and Madrid Salsa Lounge)

Vancouver
Sun 11th Sept
Mon 12th Sept

Definitely visit the Century Ballroom (with Thursdays being slightly better than Saturdays).

Mojito Cafe is a good place to listen to bands but not really conducive for dancing, IMHO.

There's a really good place on Mondays. I forget the name... will probably show up if you were to search for Vancouver in this forum.

Good question. I'm traveling to Seattle for a whole week in Nov (11-18th ) and yeah, I'm gonna get the salsa in :) Even if I have to do it on the exhibition floor of the techie conference I'll be attending!! Any DF-ers in Seattle, btw?

Long live the dancing banana
