Default LA Marathon - sold out - 25,000 entries wow!

hahahaha, for those who thought they would get their "challenged" exercise, the Los Angeles Marathon has sold out it's 25,000 entries running from Dodger Stadium, through other historic sites outside of LA City and ending at Santa Monica Beach. What an amazing traffic jam!
Next weekend.

Are you doing it? Or watching?

I've been interested in doing a marathon since I was 18 and saw the NYC marathon for the first time. But basic military training taught me that I did not enjoy running at all!

GO, DODGERS! And GO, ANAHEIM ANGELS!

I grew up a fan of both!

I, hmmm, tend to work it as a City employee for emergency management, so noooope to the running part of it. They changed the route this year, to take participants past historic sites of importance and interest. One of my ballroom coaches ran the marathon 3 years in a row. The training he did? He didn't. He just kept up with his daily 2 hour eliptical machine regiment. I laughed at him when he went by the command center on a hill....a steep hill that is. go figure. There are "walks" starting before the runners and adaptive (wheelchairs and such, bikes) start much earlier.
Don't forget - we also have a time change too!
