Welcome to The 2006 DF Silent Auction!!!

As great as the DF's continued growth and activity are, this also means that we are dealing with ever greater site traffic as well. Without a doubt this is GREAT! But this also means that our hosting expenses have continued to go up as well. As such, the DF occasionally dose some fundraising by various means such as donations and our silent auction.

Proceeds from the DF Silent Auction go to upgrading our server, paying our higher monthly charges, and for software upgrades and outside programming help as these are needed.

Now here's how the auction works: from now through November you can post what items you'd be willing to donate to the auction. Note that donated auction items do NOT have to be dance related!!! At the end of October we'll post a complete list of all the items available for bidding and, throughout November, DF members can anonymously bid on the items of their choice (with the highest current bid being updated regularly). Again, bidding will only take place in November (holiday shopping anyone? hint, hint!) and the highest bid received for each item by 111:59pm, PST on Nov. 30 wins!

The list of items donated will regularly be updated in this post. All you need to do yo place a bid is email me (SDsalsaguy) the item # and your bid.

oh. fascination bid first. She can have it ;)

I spaced out...thought you bid $100. Being how I'd have to sell the shirt, pants and shoes off my back (and still wouldn't have $200), you can take it ;)

I can maybe donate a pack of chewing gum. This is what my budget can take right now.
Shipping costs burdening the buyer, of course.

I just got finished sorting through a buttload of fugly costume jewelry. The thing is, I swore I was going to sell it, but each piece reminded me of something sniffly and ovarian from merry times gone by.

I do have some (about a dozen, I think) charity-bought Christmas cards somewhere... Fascination, you got me thinking. :D I'm going to dig around my vault (see: room) and see if I can find something.
I live in a land far far away, though. The shipping alone would kill my budget. I know it sounds silly (I mean, it will be 20$ tops after all) but I'm really really in a tight spot. I know you all understand. :D
I'll check with DM or SD...
