Wasnt there something similar in the movie "what the bleep do we know?"
Its funny to think, what exactly is love? Or happiness?

According to the article, love has alot to do with dopamine, a chemical in the brain that is associated with mental illness when their is too much or too little of it present. Dopamine also provides a person with intense energy, exhilaration, focus, and motivation.

It was also interesting when the article mentioned a study where when folks who were on prozac for mental issues, stopped taking it, the passion in their relationships seemed to improve.

Now, let's not get carried away, here. TE's young enough to be my daughter and if I had a daughter, I'd give her flowers (especially if she didn't have a boyfriend to do it).

I've gotta get a hold of that article. I'd been reading snippets here and there for a while. It'll be nice to see it all in one place, not in a scholarly article. (i.e. in plain English  )

There was even a paragraph discussing the possible unconcious reasons why women have and don't have ... the O word.

There was even a mention of a study I heard about somewhere along the line before ...

49 women were given smelly T-shirts worn by unidentified men, and it was discovered that the ladies chose the shirts that seemed to have genotypes most different from theirs, which perhaps means they were unconciously choosing a guy who's immune system was most different from hers.

Smelly t-shirts? These women sniffed smelly t-shirts? How much were they getting paid to participate in that study?

Sorry. Just being silly. I get the point, more or less. Now I have to get National Geographic.

Another study showed that when ladies sat at a desk choosing between pictures of guys to see which was most attractive, they choose the more masculine ones when there was a cotton ball soaked in sweat hidden under the desk...

There's a lot to be said for the smell of a man's sweat, IMO.

As someone who is very smell associative, I agree...

Oh, me too. Totally. I was walking down the street one day and I thought I smelt the scent of a guy I'm sort of in like with. I did a double take, I tell you.
Supposedly, smell is a very strong sense. It creates very strong memories.
