Chicago Steppin’ is a regional swing dance form also known as
“Fast Dance”. When the music changed in the Fifties and Sixties
the Lindy Hop changed to match the popular music of the Black
community of Chicago’s South Side. Steppin’, still popular
today, is danced to everything from classic Rhythm & Blues and
Soul, to Funk and Hip Hop.

Damon and Ria are the only teachers in Northern California (and
some of only a handful of instructors in the West) that teach
this exciting and innovative style of dance. Don’t miss this
chance to learn this unique freestyle form of swing dancing.

We will be splitting the workshop up into two sections with a
fifteen minute "Dance and Question" break during the class and
afterwards, to allow you to let the material really sink in.

Any questions about the workshop can be sent via pm or email.

So when are you coming to Florida to teach? :D I'd be willing to drive a few hours to come to one of your workshops.

I'm actually talking to someone about coming out early on in the new year. Probably in the Tallahassee area. The University has a stellar dance history department, and they've been trying to lure me there for months. Just a matter of figuring out some of the details. Trust me I'll let you know when I'm in your neck of the woods.

That might be a good opportunity do something in the Orlando area, too. I'm very good at organizing stuff, and there's a pretty active lindy/balboa/jitterbug community at the university here, as well. Let me know when you have something in hand. Maybe I can organize something here, as well. :D
